The reservation was handled through Hertz representative at Florence, Italy airport (Dollar was closed?). I was not given any telephone contacts if I needed roadside assistance or other problems with the rental. I had an issue with a tire pressure indicator and the car manual was in Italian. It was stressful driving late evening with no contact information to interpret the seriousness of the issue. After a long delay, a YouTube video helped resolve the situation. Pros:Nothing, had to cancel due to complications with system.Cons:Your system is flawed if you have to adjust reservation. It doesn't work and no o e answers the phone to call for fixes.Reviewed 4 Jun 2019

Pick Up/Drop Off Needs ImprovementPros:The car itself was in good condition.Cons:The line to check in was ridiculously long, the longest I have ever seen. It took 45 minutes to reach the counter. The line was as long when we returned the car. My father had a separate contract and wanted to pay cash, but couldn’t wait in such a long line. The counter outside to pick up the car was overwhelmed and we had to wait 30 minutes for one of our cars to be ready. There was no area to sit or get out of the sun.Reviewed 26 Aug 2018

A nightmarePros:That we actually found the rental car return lot.Cons:I would strongly suggest no one return a car to Florence as their location is difficult to find, signage is absent, and it was stressful navigating our way because car rental is not right at airport. A nightmarePros:NothingCons:We got to the desk and they couldn’t find our reservations even though we had our reservation number. I called your 800 number and they said there’s nothing they could do. We were at the airport rental car counters for over 4 hrs. We had to make new reservations on line and wait to get the car. The rental car counters in Florence are full of people and it takes hours to get things done.Reviewed 29 May 2018

They had an automaticPros:Liked that I can get automatic. Very confusing about fuel surcharge. Said I didn’t want it for 95 euros but it was on my receipt so I didn’t fill it up. At drop off I was told that was just shown but would have not charged so I got stuck paying that and a 36 Euro additional service charge.Reviewed 3 Apr 2018

Some issuesPros:The person at the counter was pleasant. The cars were fine.Cons:We were informed at the counter that we would be charged identical prices for the two cars that were rented.
