I called the office earlier in the week asking about adding insurance to the vehicle. The person on the phone said it would be 29.99. I ended up being charged a whole $500.00 more. As well as paying an additional $91 when I turned in the car. So ideally, I paid almost $783.81 for the entire rental. I left so confused and blind-sided. But I needed the car and did not have time to go elsewhere. I was also told the week prior that the only two cars that would be available were a red or white. I was given a green color. Which I did not complain just went ahead and took what was available. The car was clean in the inside but it smelled like cigarette. I am asthmatic and this was not good for me. I returned the car early and filled up the tank. I am happy that I was able to use the car for what I needed and it was still successful for my event. However, I am not sure I will be returning to rent from Alamo again. Thank you again. Respectfully, I hope I will have a more promising experience next time.

Car was very good condition. I noticed as I was leaving that the gas had not been topped off, and later I noticed it had nit been cleaned, kept finding sunflower seeds in the vehicle. I brought this to the attention of the gentleman who checked my car back in, and he made it right. I also got a follow up call within the hour from a manager. All in all a very positive car rental experience. I would definitely rent from Alamo again.

The man that checked us in at the airport was very friendly and quick. The price was cheaper than the other rental places for a 7 passenger vehicle. However, after drop off there was $17ish dollars added to the total which I am unsure what for as we had filled up the gas completely right before returning and we were before the drop off time.

They initially claimed that we dropped the car off two full days after we actually did. I was able to get the charges removed, but it was quite a hassle of calling phone numbers and eventually having to drive down to my nearest Dollar location.

The price we saw online was just the starting point…they looked for multiple ways to raise the our costs…unfortunate.

Will NEVER rent a car from Sixt again... mobile check in process was easy, car was nice, gave us a "free upgrade." Then, a week after we got home, they sent us a bulls--t damage claim for almost $1000 after we returned the car. Shame on us for not taking photos of the car before we left the garage, but we have NEVER had an issue with a rental car company.
Friendly service, vehicle was an excellent ride, and price was great. I rented a 2500 Dodge Ram and spent around $180 in gas full ride from San Antonio,TX to Albuquerque, NM. In my opinion, this was a superb deal on the gas expense. I say this because one way in my old vehicle would cost between $120-$140 one way in our economical car so I would say for sure great deal. I hauled mezquite wood and still only paid so little. I highly recommend it.

1 person was at the checkin desk despite a 30min+ line. While I was in line to rent a car, I was sent an invitation to check in online. I did just that. I checked in and proceeded to the parking deck. When I got to the deck I was informed that Hertz didn't have any vehicles in my category but they would be happy to rent me an upgrade for 50 extra dollars per day. After begging the team at the parking deck, I was instructed and required to go back into line one more time and check in again. I spent more than 80 minutes trying to get a car. When I finally got through the line the second time I went up to the parking deck and there were a half dozen cars just like the one I rented. The delay was very very irritating and the fact that you tried to upsell me as opposed to just find an adequate appropriate replacement. Vehicle to rent is just as infuriating. As you would expect, I will remember this the next time I go to rent a car.

Pick up was to say the least, pathetic. I did all of the suggested check in steps ahead of arriving at the counter. Still had to stand in line for 30 minutes, 10 of which were being first in line while 3 agents stared at their screens helping no one else. Then, was told that I would have to wait another 40 minutes to get the vehicle. The only explanation given was that they were backed up in cleaning vehicles.

Both the experience at the counter and drop off were great. The attendant at the counter had a small issue with her work station as we were the first customer of the day and the screen did not light up for me. She moved to another workstation and got us on our way. The car had an open RedBull can in it that I disposed of. Otherwise it was great.

Had a reservation, stood in line for 1 hour only to be told they had no more cars available and had to come back later to get a car.
My flight was delayed, I got to the booth as the employees shut down their computer and refused to help me. I had to go rent with a different company. I haven’t even started to investigate if I was charged for the rental or not. I’m sure that will be the next battle.

I inputted the time that I was arriving, but the reservation didn't take. Reservation showed 2 hours after my flight landed. Had to pay an additional $60 or wait 2 hours. (Seemed like a scam to get me to pay more money.) Attendant found minor less than .25" scratch on the vehicle. He also stated that there was a dent on the vehicle when there wasn't.

Everything was great until I had to go back to my home state. Unfortunately my car got towed and it took them a week to get it back and it made me feel like they sat back and didn't rush knowing I wasn't there up their butt's to get it back and was able to charge me those extra days.

I prepaid but was forced to buy standard liability insurance despite me telling them I have my own insurance and declining it. The lady said it is mandatory in Texas. Came to know that was a lie. Also I booked with Visa credit card and it offers same,
The person needing us in San Antonio was excellent service and I'm grateful that they added me as a secondary driver without charging you more because that's how it should be. It actually makes it safer for the company to not charge extra for a secondary driver because when the primary driver is tired instead of worrying about how much more it was going to cost to have a secondary driver it was automatically assumed that I would be the secondary driver at no extra cost and my husband and I took turns all the time to keep us both safe. I think it's foolish to charge for a secondary driver because it discourages people who are trying to cut costs and they may not want to pay for a secondary driver which is not safe. And the car was very clean when we picked it up and I tried very hard to make sure it was very clean when we dropped it off.

I liked that they were open at one in the morning. I HATED that they basically forced me to take an electric car. The man at the counter said I was lucky AVIS would rent to me at one in the morning and I could take it or leave it. I did NOT reserve electric. I was told I needed to return it fully charged or pay $35 penalty - where on earth was I supposed to do that with a flight the next day early? Terrible, terrible experience.
We got to pick up station, and a few more folks showed up to help as there was only 1 person there when we arrived. We reserved small SUV but were told ALL the suv's were gone, but could choose from any car there. That left us with 1 dirty and 3 clean Nissan Sentras, a BMW sedan or a Mecedes sedan to choose from. We chose a clean Sentra, which is a long way from an SUV. Car was clean and good mpg, no way was I taking one of the German rides.

When car returned on time, they still charged me for extra day.
The worst, front desk attendant didn’t take care of what I was requesting and in need at the moment. She just brought an impromptu rental policy by telling me that as I just booked the car then there was a 2 hours wait, otherwise, if urgent I must upgrade and pay a higher rate, twice the rate I was willing to pay for. I travel a lot, sometimes I have to react from one day to another, I don’t have too much time for planning, I have never experienced this before, in any airport. Just this time with Thrifty at San Antonio (SAT) airport. Ridiculous

This was a TERRIBLE experience. I was charged for insurance even though I specified NUMEROUS times that I had my own. Even on the receipt that they sent me there is no signature from me yet they charged and proceeded to argue with me. The person giving me the car was incredibly rude and threatened to charge me $400 in cleaning fees if any mud was present on the vehicle (it was rainy and muddy). I will NEVER rent with this company ever again.

I did not like all the hidden fees they added after I had paid a non refundable total online. It did give a heads up that added fees may be applied but the end charge was double what I had originally paid. They also attempted to put a 800$ hold on my credit card but eventually approved me to just hold 500$. Overall the experience was good, they were fast and I had a clean car with an easy pick up and drop off I just was not expecting that high of an upcharge. I picked them because they were a little less expensive than enterprise but in the end I would have ended up paying less if I had gone with them instead.

They refused to alter the pick up time when I asked to pick up the vehicle later.
Did not appreciate the surprise $300 security deposit, extra charge for having a local ID(?) and then subsequent refusal to rent me the vehicle because I had a debit card. None of this information was given ahead of time and I ended up canceling it all. Thankfully, going straight to Enterprise down the road ended up helping me get the rental I needed
