I was able to get a vehicle

Cons:

Out of our control, Avis and I, flight delayed made me lose my rental for a day. I had to wait until the following day to get the vehicle, then waited for the vehicle due to an employee emergency,. Noone could issue a vehicle until the employee got back from emergency, one hour later. Then, I was advised the rental company would give me a ride to the airport since they don't have an office there, but at the time of drop-off, an employee was hesitant because there was nobody else to cover while I was being dropped off.

Pick-up truck

$2K on a deductible, that’s just INSANE, I have rented cars in 12 country’s and done it for more than a decade. Never got asked for this stupid amount of money for deposit. I did not rented the car, I did not use it, and I will never use this company again.

Well, they delivered the car at the airport but it took them MORE than the 15 minutes permited of free parking. They did not say anything about this and I had to cough up the cash for the parking. When I confronted them about it when delivering the car, the lady at the counter gave me a real bad attitude and went so far as to giving me the money back out of her own purse for the parking. I told her it was not about the parking fee money... it's the fact that they didn't say ANYTHING about the parking in the first place. I looked like a fool at the gate. It really pissed me off and that girl REALLY needs to work on her F@^#^ing attitude.

We ended up paying $100 more when I received the bill at the end compared to what we were quoted and because of the language barrier I couldn’t ask why. We were told everything came back fine so not sure. That was a disappointment

Car was booked months in advance. When I showed up they claimed that they have no cars available at all. The lady at the counter proceeded to tell me that she can then find me a local renter to can rent me something for 2x the price. Which smacks of scam. This seems more of an issue with Roatan than Alamo to be fair

The car had dents and scratches all over it. It took the guy 5 mins just to draw them all down on the form. Car was missing a tire jack so a flat tire was a constant worry on the rough roads. Tiffany at the desk was great, though..
