Got there, they had no cars, Budget lied that more cars would be coming in just a few minutes, so I should wait; no more cars were or did come. Awful experience. It was like the Seinfeld episode; they know how to take the reservation, they don't know how to fill the reservation.

I was expecting a "Nissan Versa or similar" , but Dollar put me in a manager's choice vehicle ( despite my protests) - a massive pickup truck that got less than 18 miles a gallon, would not fit in many parking garages, or even in some of the surface Lots. This would have been a great vehicle for towing a fifth wheel, or moving all of your friends in a single trip. But for my business trip, it was ridiculous and I won't be repeating.

Over an hour wait to get your car from the time you checked in. Extremely frustrating as this was for a one way reservation to drive to another airport and catch a flight; so we could not wait. Caused me to have to cancel my reservation because of the extreme delay and rent a car from another vendor last minute for a much higher price.

Friendly service, even for pickup after midnight. Nice car and easy drop off. Would use them again.
If they don't have cars, they shouldn't take reservations. When I arrived there was a list of people waiting to get a car for their "reservation." I was looking at 45 minutes just to find out IF they had a car for me. Will not be using Avis again ...

The car was banged up and smelled like smoke when I picked it up and then as I was driving north to DC at night, had to turn back and drive about 20-30 miles to return the car for a new replacement because BOTH back tail lights were out. It would have never known except someone on the highway honked and flashed lights to get my attention to tell my my lights were out... which is very dangerous. When I went to replace the car, they were very kind and made it easy - which was appreciated since I had to backtrack to return the other car. However, the car the replaced it with ended up having some emergency warning signs about the automatic rear breaking system malfunctioning. I had to pull over to read the vehicle manual - but because I was in the middle of no where had to continue on until I got into DC and could return it. Not a good experience at all.
They don’t exist. Budget/Avis at the airport honored the reservation. It took a while to even find out that is how it works. The Payless website said to go to the budget/Avis counters to get shuttle service off site but there is no one off site. Budget was great, but only had one person at the counter and a lot of people to take care of. It took about an hour to get through the line.

Transaction was through hotwire. Their emailed instructions directed me to a shuttle bus pick up. After waiting almost an hour, I looked up the company on the airports website and it said to go to the Avis counter. They were very helpful. Wish I hadn't followed the emailed instructions.
