This was the Hertz chooses vehicle option and the option was a vehicle without a remote- with manual locks- the most basic nissan versa vehicle possible.
We needed extra handicapped assistance, clerk went and got the SUV and pulled it up front so we could load. That really helped. Fast and friendly staff. Would use again.

they did not have a vehicle for me at 8:00 They also said they did not have pickup trucks at that location. The reservation system with budget , kayak, or both is broken.

The car was not safe and should not have been rented. It had a bad shake starting at 50mph. Right rear tire was bald as in no tread left. After calling multiple times I talked with the person at rental counter, she told me they didn’t have any other vehicles and advised me to keep driving what I had. Explained the tire was not safe and she suggested I call road side assistance and they could direct me to a tire shop I could take the car to for repair. Since it’s not my car I didn’t think I should have to spend my time waiting on repairs at a tire shop. I ask if she could call me when they had another vehicle, she agreed to do that. Never heard back from her. Basically she didn’t care.
