Pros: Spacious and quiet room where one could get a great sleep, very typical for Marriott International. Some staff were lovely and helpful, always happy to assist although thats very typical practice in Mexico because they like their tips. Tour guide on site was helpful and gave us Mexican rates (different to tourists ie American rates).

Pros: The staff like most Mexican were extremely nice and helpful. Every part of the hotel that I saw was very clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well portioned. I especially like the feature that the room key activated the room lights and once removed would stay on for only 5 mins. Check in and check out was a breeze and it was practically a straight line to the airport. Easy location to get to and from. Muchos gracias!

Pros: We booked last minute and still got a good rate; the place was very comfortable and the staff was kind. They have a restaurant and bar that is very good. The wait staff was attentive and they had a great live band. Seemed like mostly business travelers so we made them jealous with our morning cocktails ;-)

Cons: A few things. -At the top of my list is the hotel breakfast and more specifically, the availability of choices. We appreciated we are in Mexico and pork is essential part of Mexican cuisine, however, for a hotel of this margin, one would expect variety of meat choices to accommodate for people who do not necessarily eat pork for religious or other personal reasons. We had a long 10 day stay and had already pre paid for breakfast. A few days there were indeed chicken and beef options available but for the majority of our stay, there was only pork available. One day, after we enquired about it, beef was back on the menu and again disappeared for the remaining of our stay. My partner was allergic to eggs, so if you take the eggs and pork out the menu you are only really left with cereal and fruit for breakfast and that is certainly NOT wroth the price paid for breakfast at the hotel. -Gym has barely any equipment so for someone who is into fitness, website pictures are somewhat deceiving. We’d recommend day pass in local gym Energy Fitness (200 pesos) - Parking was a bit confusing at first. Not very well explained. We ended up in the hospital end with our suitcases (the hotel and the hospital share the same building one can walk through easily).

Cons: No exhaust fan or window for restroom. Expensive to take cabs from here, I guess they have a tie-up with some cabs. Best to walk a block down and take cheaper taxi.

Cons: Insects: little flies coming out of the sink, it was not possible to overcome, we called the hotel staff for help and no results. Breakfast: poor, each day all the same, no salads at all.

Cons: Unfriendly staff. Very dirty, they gave the unclean room, ,They changed rooms but in the next room the toilet didn't work, ant no hot water in bathroom. . After changing the rooms and repairing the toilet, we asked for a later check out (2 hour) but they refused.

There must be better ways to identify guests maybe through a door that opens with a code or an access card or whatever, but this tagging of guests thing was one of the weirdest things I have seen at a hotel and I have seen a lit!

Pros: It is clean, and not too far from the city centre. You can easily take a bus (R-1) to go to the beach. There is a restaurant where you can have some breakfast, and there is also a supermarket very close to the hotel, that is very convenient.
Cons: There is a swimming pool, and some deck chairs, that is great, but the swimming pool is kind of small (smaller than expected), and if you want to get a sunbath, the place is, most of the time, in the shadow. The “fitness center” is quite small too.

Cons: The hotel is outdated: design, furniture, bed sheets, and even towels are from about 20 years ago. It was the first hotel I've ever visited where you have to pay for the breakfast right there at the breakfast room and can't add it to your bill in case you didn't order it in advance.

Cons: The curtains of the rooms are very thin and you can see right through them from outside of the room. That means anyone walking through the hallway can see you inside your room. Even the smallest amount of light such as having the tv on makes the curtains transparent. We had to change our clothes in the washroom and were not comfortable at all in our room. Very unacceptable and I do not recommend it for any couples.

Pros: We had an excellent stay here. We had a single night before catching our flight home. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the wifi worked great, the location was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had one of the nicest "continental" breakfasts that I've seen in my travels, with a large selection of fresh cut fruit, fresh bakery products, "make your own waffles", and 6 hot food items. We went to the top floor by accident and bumped into the general manager of the hotel, who gave us a quick "tour" of the city pointing out some interesting points on the sky line.
We would stay here again.

Cons: Unfortunately the walls of this hotel are paper thin. You can here normal conversations through the walls. We were woken up by the neighbors, whom were loud. It was evident one of them entered the bathroom to be sick. I won't stay at this property again. When I greeted the male server in the breakfast in Spanish, he looked at my with an unfriendly facial expression and said, nothing. Very poor.

Cons: Cleanliness- full of dust and dirty in our room and in the hotel Areas such as gym, pool, bar and restaurant, also it was full of coackroaches and fruit flies in our room/shower Staff - the staff member that helped us at check in wasn’t the friendliest and also the bar and restaurant staff / we spoke with other staff member during our stay to address our complaint who apologized but did nothing to help with our concerns of cleanliness and noise in the establishment Noise - they gave us room 25 which was close to a ice machina that was making a hell of a noise they said that they would turn it off at night but this didn’t happen and we couldn’t sleep until 4 pm Breakfast - very poor quality food and choice Location - close to Cancun downtown on a very busy street, there was nothing interesting and we didn’t feel really safe there

Cons: Play security guards they watch you like a thief. Have you have a rental car you have to get permission to leave the property it's like you're in prison. Rooms were very dirty dirty mirrors dirty . 4 star lol is 2 star.. poor breakfast. Over priced hotel

Cons: - A bit far away (30 minutes by bus) from Hotel Zone and beaches - Air conditioner in the entrance at the reception as well as in the restaurant was too cold/ freezing. - The restaurant has only about five tables on the terrace, therefore, we had to consume our meals on the pool bar (or inside which was due to the air conditioner very cold)

Cons: Aircondition in Room 502 was extremely loud and old fashioned . The shower cabine had moldy tiles. Breakfeast was cheap but : partly no refilled plates. Coffee with no taste. Dirty hot wirl pools.

Cons: THEY DIDN'T ACCEPT $US DOLLARS WHICH WAS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT!!! ONE OF MY RESERVATIONS WAS CANCELLED AND I STILL DON'T KNOW WHY. WE HAD TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR TO GET ANOTHER ROOM. THANKFULLY ANOTHER ROOM WAS AVAILABLE.

Cons: Our room was beautiful, just the private bathroom is in need of a little renovation. Nevertheless free shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, which smells very nice! Too little seating space next to the kitchen.

Cons: We were the told clearly the price for this one night stay. However On arrival the price had increased, and if you wished to pay in American dollars a surcharge of 5% was applied, none of this was indicated at the booking. To then add insult to injury, there was no key for our room! We had to be let in to our room by the security guard who had the pass card key- we had booked well in advance, it was no surprise we were arriving. The basics of any hotel is a key for the room.

Pros: It's close to the bus station, and there are a lot of places to eat in the neighborhood.
Cons: There's only one toilet and one shower for a lot of rooms. The toilet is in bad shape. The shower is very weak, and getting the hot water to work is a struggle.

Cons: Things were just dirty in general. For example, the towel they provided me had stains on it. The bed sheets had stains on them as well, and didn't even cover the entire mattress. The floor was gross. Definitely wear shoes or sandals when there. The TV didn't work half the time (kept losing signal). The worst thing of all, was on the final day I had to wake up very early for my flight. When I woke up, I found 2 big bed bugs crawling on the bed! I managed to wake up early enough before they scurried off to their hiding places. When I killed them, they were filled with red blood, which they clearly got from me. For this alone the hostel gets an extremely negative review, as bed bugs can easily become an infestation and easily be spread. Also there are some sketchy people that stay here. When I was there, somebody had several hundred dollars (US) stolen from their wallet when they left their wallet in the public bathroom in plain view of the hallway and went to get something from their room that was a couple doors away for less than a minute. True they shouldn't have left their wallet in a public area for even a second (I certainly wouldn't), but considering this was in the hostel with not many people in the building at the time, just crazy that somebody would take the chance to do that. I recommend looking for a better place, as this place is just poorly cleaned and they don't really put any effort into trying to keep it clean.

Cons: Room was just dirty all around. Bed sheets, towel, floor all looked like they hadn't been cleaned well in a long time. A/C works, but seems to be a really old A/C unit and was so noisy that you had to turn it off to get any sleep. Breakfast they provide is really nothing, just white bread, jelly, coffee, cup of milk. Hardly nutritious. Also found bed bugs in the room. Thankfully I keep my luggage elevated in a location away from the bed to keep them from hitching a ride and infesting places I go after this place. So my final memory of this place are the bed bug bites that I had after leaving. I can see staying here maybe 1 night if you absolutely had to, but just do yourself a favor and stay away. The price is cheap here, but I'm sure there are better places that care at least something for cleanliness nearby.

Cons: We suposed to have double bed but it was two single instead we pushed them together but it was diffrent beds, one extreemly uncomfortable so ended up sleeping two on one single bed. Toilets and showers dirty and smells bad. Shower draining system bad so finally everything starts floating on the floor so you showering with the hair and stuff floating around you. Wifi around reception only.
