They are well placed to catch the bus to Letterkenny, where you can change to Dunlewy  and visit Errigal Mountain, which is about 50 miles from Donegal Town and one of the most historic landmarks in Donegal County. You can also get a bus to Letterkenny, then a taxi to An Grianán of Aileach, the famous stone fort near Derry/Londonderry, and about 25 miles from Donegal Town.

If you are looking to relax with your children surrounded by nature, then Harvey’s Point and Lough Eske Castle offer family rooms and plenty of fresh air, as well as fishing, cycling and horse riding facilities. A little closer to Donegal Town, Mill Park Hotel offers a swimming pool and comfortable family rooms only half a mile from the town centre.
