Overview of Oman Air

Scheduling the majority of its flights out of its primary hub in Muscat, Oman Air functions as a major link between India and the Middle East. Recognized as the flag carrier of Oman, it flies to more than 25 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe. Driven by the demand of business-orientated travel, it operates services to over 10 Indian destinations.

Renowned for warm hospitality and considerate service, the carrier was crowned the Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East by Skytrax in 2017. A broad range of specialty meals can be ordered to appease dietary requirements, including gluten intolerant, diabetic, low sodium and Hindu.

There is the option of flying either Economy, Business or First Class on Oman Air services. In the Business Class section, you will find a cabin arrangement that ensures every seat has direct aisle access. First Class delivers ultimate privacy due to sliding doors that surround the enclosed individual suites. Luxurious male and female amenity kits are also provided, which include Amouage products such as silk eyeshades, cotton pajamas, vanity items and shaving set.

Although not part of an airline alliance, Oman Air holds codeshare agreements with several carriers including Emirates, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines. This allows customers to enjoy smoother transitions if they are taking connecting flights. A combination of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft are used in the fleet. There is a particular association with the Boeing 737 series, with models such as the 800, 900ER and MAX 8 regularly flown. A white and blue design is found on the aircraft in addition to the carrier’s golden logo on the tail.
