Cons: I received a scam ticket. I could not board and had to use another airline and flight website to find another ticket.
Pros: Crew was very attentive. Plane was clean.
Cons: Bigger water bottles?
Pros: The crew was amazing
Pros: Yes the airline co-operating so nice and staff were helpful. The seat was so comfortable.
Cons: Menu options, movies
Pros: Crew service was amazing - so diligent and courteous. They were incredibly well trained and I would rate their service level as being one of the most competitive within business class in Asia.
Cons: Seats were reasonably comfortable but not as spacious in design as in other business class cabins, so that could be a concern for some travelers. Also, I was not able to convert the main menu of the entertainment system to my preferred language so it was a bit difficult to navigate (that being said, they provided a card that guided me, so it was still usable, and the entertainment selection was good!).
Cons: JAL cabin attendants and people from customer center were very professional and nice
Cons: Flight crew not too interactive
Cons: American airlines, No entartainment, no hi hello from the crew, no food, not even water... Funny guys, why the have flight people inside the plane :) domestic airlines are always joke compared to the world domestic or overseas....
Cons: Needs more variety of movies
Cons: More variety of movies
Cons: Economy seat was very uncomfortable even though it reclined a lot. Was very disappointed I could not sleep on 12 hour flight. Arm rests too low? Shape of backrest was odd. Maybe provide a bigger pillow in addition to neck pillow to have something to rest arms on. Also tou need more movies. Singapore Airlines has many more options. Overall airplane, crew and food were very nice
Pros: Just excellent. Excellent crew, excellent food, excellent aircraft, and excellent leg room. No recommendations.
Pros: Every thing in airplane was wonderful. I would like to recommend this airline to my friends
Cons: You are best .
Pros: Economy was surprisingly comfortable. Boarding and deplaning were very quick.
Cons: Not a ton of movies to choose from. Enough, but less than most domestic US flights.
Pros: The seats in Economy are larger than normal airlines and had extra leg room. My partner is 6ft2in and he sat comfortable, even when the people in front reclined. The staff was so polite and helpful. I will definitely fly JAL again!
Cons: The food was a little bland, but that is nit picking. For airline food, it was very good.
Pros: I like how the crew made rounds hourly to provide drinks and ensure we are good! Also appreciated when they were able to accommodate last minute meal changes!!
Pros: The crew was definitely amazing. Extremely polite and always have a smile on :-)
Law - Vacation Return from Kaohsiung to NRT
Pros: Was able to get to get to Narita Airport.
Cons: Okay and not any issues.
Law - Worst Vacation Return from Tokyo to SFO
Pros: Was able to get home toward Los Angeles with delays and change in plane so did not get proper seating as reserved.
Cons: The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great.
Law - More delays LAX to SFO
Pros: At least it was delayed so we could make it to SFO.
Cons: The American Airlines flight was delayed so the delayed flight from Honolulu could make it to Los Angeles and not subject AA to additional complaints. We arrived at close to midnight and worried about getting the car out of the parking lot without incurring additional charges of and additional day. The food was not great.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better
Pros: The service and food was great. Plains are new.
Pros: My seat
Cons: Time check in maybe earlier.
Cons: Delayed flight for 2 hours, rude staff at the JFK airport and then v choppy flight, delayed even more by waiting for an arrival gate in FLL.
Pros: The experience was really good. I’ll be using JAL again.
Cons: Keep doing a good job.
Flight was good
Pros: Crew took great care of us.
Cons: No complaints.
Cabin was very uncomfortable
Pros: Crew took great care of us
Cons: The cabin was so hot it felt like there was no air conditioning. Please turn up the air conditioning (make it colder). Passengers feeling cold can use a blanket to stay warm. Passengers feeling warm have no solution. I was wearing just a T-shirt and was feeling so warm. Thank you
Pros: I like the spirit of Christmas in some of the staff.
Cons: Board people by section instead of a madsive line.
Pros: Everything was amazing! Crew was helpful, thoughtful and kind.
Cons: Nothing. It was great. Strongly recommend.
Pros: It was great...
Cons: Lavatories on domestic flights in Japan are tiny. Like, super duper tiny.
Pros: The entertainment system, the leg room, the toilets with complimentary tooth brushes. JAL hit it out of the park.
Cons: Not one thing.
Law - Xmas in Taiwan 2019
Pros: Flight was typical.
Cons: No direction for the connecting flight and no help to understand the connecting flights.
Law - Xmas in Taiwan 2019
Pros: Typical flight and all went well.
Pros: Great seat, cabin crew was fine.
Cons: Too much confusion trying to just find a shower in the lounge
Pros: JAL lounge at Haneda was the best I've ever been in. The Business Class configuration is terrific -- as private as can be on an airplane, without going First. And the JAL staff, on the ground as well as in the air, are Grade A diplomats, counselors, and -- in a word -- professionals. Which is sorely lacking in US air carriers, who don't seem to understand that air travel is a service industry, and to excel in a service industry, PEOPLE are most important to the customers. Specifically, having enough people: US airline employees are well-trained professionals too, but "corporate" consistently under-hires/deploys, which leaves employees juggling far too much at once, which degrades the service experience for the customer. Yeah, I get "the bottom line," but service industry customers will always go to businesses that offer better service. Ok, rant over. JAL is tops.
Cons: Security and Immigration at Tokyo Haneda is harder than at US airports, but that's to be expected and nothing that JAL can control.
Pros: The crew was great and entering and exiting the plane was quick.
Cons: The seats could have been more comfortable, but I feel like that is a comment for most planes that fly internationally.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Connection time at Narita is too long
Pros: Love everything
Cons: None
Pros: None
Cons: Crew was not very helpful
Pros: Crew was amazing, food was great.
Cons: None
Pros: The coach seats were larger than seats for domestic flights. The windows were dimmable for optimal lighting.
Cons: The armrests did not go up all the way, which made it difficult to maximize comfort with my travel partner.
Pros: The coach seats were larger than those on domestic flights. The window glass was dimmable for ideal lighting.
Cons: The arm rests did not go up all the way. This made it difficult to maximize comfort with my wife.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating crew.
Pros: The cabin crew was excellent -- friendly, always helpful, energetic.
Cons: We requested a seafood special meal. The food quality was satisfactory, but most of the items tasted very bland. The accompanying dishes were unimaginative -- raw vegetables (salad), steamed vegetables, pickled vegetables. One exeption was a smoked salmon bit with capers -- this was the tastiest part among 8 meals over 4 flights.
Pros: I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. I’m very thankful they were able to get me on ANA flight at 8pm.
Cons: Communication
Pros: crew amazing
Pros: Cabin crew were very helpful and polite.
Cons: Food lacked flavor.
Cons: Flight delays are always disappointing.
Pros: 3 hour flight and had a meal
Several drinks and crew was very attentive
Also seats were very comfortable and spaced well
Cons: Nothing really other then maybe a better selection of movies but I am not picky
Great flight
Pros: One of the JAL ground crew was fantastic at Narita airport. I didn’t have enough time to get on my next flight. She provided me full assistance to take me to the connecting flight gate on time.
Cons: Several flight attendants gave me wrong drinks.
Pros: Simple check in and boarding, right on time.
Cons: Business class seats not very long if you are tall. Western meal option is not really very western. Crew is a little too efficient- got woken up 90 minutes before landing to clear the mattresses. Lots of announcements- a bit too much. On time, and quick to respond to requests. Sake was good as was the ramen.
Cons: Good
Cons: Better food
Pros: The crew was polite, responsive and friendly. The food was very good and served hot. For a flight to Japan, I thought $1,000 round trip direct from Boston was an excellent price considering you got 2 complete meals and additional snacks. Much more than I expected. Would fly Japan Airlines again.
Cons: I don't think there was much that could have been improved. The seats were as comfortable as could be expected when paying an economy price.
Pros: Great service for economy. Very attentive flight attendants.
Pros: Amazing crew
Cons: Perfect
Entertainment/Seating
Pros: Pretty limited movie offerings
Seat was comfortable in the flat position but very little storage for phone cords and all the other goodies provided during the flight. Because a pain to store and retreive
Cons: Many movies were old
Delayed Flight
Pros: Bad handling and organization by JAL ground management. There was no support at the gate or clear leadership or direction of what needed to happen or what was to be done for the passengers
They dumped everything in the Malaysian ground agents to handle without clear direction. Very poor service and no accountability
