Pros:

While most rental car agencies in Albuquerque had no cars available, this site did. The staff at the pickup location were acceptable in handling renting a car with some concerns; at drop off they were very courteous.

full tank of gas, windshield without damage, tire warning indicator not giving a false warning

Car rented in conjunction with travel. Assumption was that it was airport office of Enterprise where car would be acquired. It wasn’t. Had to Uber to city to get car.

I confused rental site. Instead of airport I accidentally chose downtown. Downtown did not let me have the full size sedan I wanted due to lack of supply at the airport and authorized only a mid sized van which I accepted with disappointment.

This location is a train wreck. Terrible customer service. The Avis agent was watching a football game on his phone, paying more attention to that rather than getting our rental app verified. NEVER AGAIN WITH AVIS AND LIKELY NOT EVEN KAYAK.

they gave me a toyota corolla cross instead of a rav4. At first I was disappointed, but it turned out to be great. Perfect for my trip. Line to get the car was long and it took 30-40 minutes because there were only two agents. car was a little dirty on the exterior. Kind of looked like water spots, but was a bit sticky. easy return, but could be more clear that you return it to the Hertz area.

Pick-up truck

First off my flight landed at 11:20 AM on Saturday. I called the location that was my reservation. I told him I would be six minutes away. They said they would wait for me but keep in mind they close at 12 I took a Uber to get there I go to location come to find out 1145 they completely locked their doors. I tried calling them six times and they completely ignore me Crying and very upset since I needed this truck to move my family member I called the reservation hotline and they transfer me to another location. That’s an hour away damaged. My reservation and plans reserve resort to me to pay extra day rental. I will not be using budget anymore. I’m very unhappy with the customer service they have given me.

Compact SUV

We booked thrifty via a third party so we could pay in advance and when we arrived there were so many people there to pick up a car that we were put on a wait list, only to find out they ended up running out of cars (lucky we had gone to a different place to see if we could get one, although we paid over double what the original rental from Thrifty was meant to be). The employees at Thrifty Albuquerque were apologetic and tried to help, but said there was nothing they could do because the third party companies reserve cars without knowing the amount of inventory available. Whether this is a Thrifty problem, or a problem with the rental car business (esp 3rd party) overall, I’m not sure but it shouldn’t be this way and I’ve never had this problem before, so there should be some oversight for car reservations - especially those that have been prepaid as we are now having to fight with the third party (Qeek) to get our money back.

Had to cancel the rental, with a lot of hassle because the rental counter was not open late enough. Staff to change rental was not helpful. not able to contact the local desk directly, which was a pain!!! will not be renting with you again

Pros:

staff very friendly and helpful, made the process very quick and didn't waste any time.

Cons:

the only major issue was that one of the tires of the car was severely underpressurized, and I noticed this several hours into my trip - had I not taken care of it myself, the trip could have been held up by a flat or even worse an accident could have occurred.
