Rented a car but when we went to pick it up the next morning, we were told that they overbooked and there were no cars currently at there location. We ended up spending 4x the amount at another location since we needed a car the same day.

I chose to pick up at the airport, but Hertz said it was in downtown Denver. They were nice enough to switch it and get me a van at the airport. However the van they provided was filthy and in poor driving condition. When up to freeway speeds, it shook like the wheels were going to fall off. which in turn made a horrible pulsing sound like if you were to drive down the road with only one window open. Also it vibrated really bad when braking. The whole situation made my family car sick. And they never get car sick. I would have taken it back but I had to get my kids checked in over an hour away. Not a good experience for anyone.

Overall all, terrible customer service. Booked a reservation, I thought for a car with airport pick up and return, which was specifically requested. On review, order pick up was 50 minutes away. I immediately tried to cancel. I then spent 2 hours on the phone canceling,. I did try to cancel on line, but the system would not accept my request. The order then reappeared. I did try to cancel on line, but the system would not accept my request

Agent at rental counter was not very helpful and tried to charge us double to what was reserved online.

Drop off date was Sunday, I came to return the car and the pick-up branch was close, all other branches were also close except for airport branch. I called the costumer service while on site and he told me you can drop it the next day and no extra charges will be added because it is the staff mistake they approved Sunday as a drop off day. When I came today to drop it off, staff told me there is a 24/7 drop-off option. They staff at the branch did not tell me that at the pick up time. It is so much hustle that can be avoided through a better communication. I need my money back for the extra night.

This Hertz location literally does not exist. I showed up and it was abandoned. I called and Hertz told me that, despite sending me a confirmation email for my reservation and accepting payment in advance, they had closed this location months earlier. They also told me they had no other cars available in Denver, leaving me stranded in a city where I had no place to stay. It could not possibly have been a worse experience, unless, perhaps, a Hertz employee had run me over with the car and then rented it to another customer.

THE PEOPLE AT THE HERTZ DENVER DOWNTOWN (WELTON ST) CAR RENTAL LOCATION ARE AMAZING!! THEY ARE POLITE, ATTENTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND MY CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE WAS NOT ONLY PAINLESS BUT COMPLETELY ENJOYABLE -AND MOST OF ALL, IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT.

I waited for 45 minutes as there were not cars available, despite a confirmed reservation. Then, once I got the car, it only had 3/4 of a tank of gas - and of course I filled it up at return, so not only did I lose nearly an hour on my 1-day rental (when I only had a few hours of daylight to be a tourist), but the extra gas cost added 20% to my rental cost.
