I didn't like anything. I experienced total confusion and chaos while trying to pick up a car I reserved several weeks earlier. I was ripped off for liability coverages and waivers I didn't ask for, and was not offered. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AT DENVER INTERNATIONAL. I could write a short story about how bad my experience was. I've been trying to get help from Enterprise for days to resolve the bad experience, and keep getting the run around. "somebody will call", but nobody has. Rent a car from a different company.

Got a call the day before my arrival in Denver (from California), telling me that my location for pick up was now closed on Sundays and I would need to call another enterprise location (not at the airport) and arrange my own NEW rental…. This was unacceptable and I won’t be using either Kayak or Enterprise again for car rental.

This was my first rental with enterprise and we had the car for two months! Pick-up close to 2 hours but this was partially because the overall situation is bad! No matter where you go, businesses are short staffed! They were very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately the car was not very clean! It was already dark at pickup so we didn’t see it right away. Besides that, we were able to solve most issues and we received a discount! I would go back and give them a second chance, they deserve it! We drove 7900 miles and the car had no issues! Hope the industry goes back to pre-COVID pricing and car availability!

All went well. We had to wait about 30 minutes for our vehicle as the crew in the back couldn’t turn around vehicles quick enough with a short staff. Other than that, good experience.

Unfortunately the price difference between picking up at the airport and offsite is huge, and there is no way to easily tell the the office closet to the airport, with appropriate hours of operation, so I had to take a $50 lyft ride to get to the rental office (offsite from the airport-- which I am told, still saved me money on the overall rental).

The first person who assisted me was very nice and help me getting a better car for the snow so I upgraded to a 4x4 SUV my renthaving the car clean no with mud and dust and papers and stuff inside plus with wash fluid because at the middle of my trip from Denver to Vail I got the low wash fluid sign the first time I used it so obviously before getting to Vail I ran out of wash fluid in the middle of a snow storm which made the beginning of my trip very dangerous because of a lack of supervision from your company which delivered a car which has recently dropped at your facilities, very bad honestly.

The lady who assisted us in dropping off the car was very pleasant and I appreciated that, as it was very cold and early. The shuttle to the airport was prompt and helpful.I had reserved a car for around $200 online. When I arrived (after standing in a line for over 30 minutes) I was told that I had to have an AWD vehicle by state law. I "was lucky" and they had 1 AWD vehicle left in stock. It took my total to $755. If that is the case, why even have the other vehicles available to rent in the first place? I saw plenty of people driving non-AWD rental cars and they presumably didn't get fined. I was also urged to purchase a toll pass for $9.99/day because "I would definitely go through multiple tolls". I didn't go through one toll and had to pay $69.93 for nothing. It seems like a big scam and rip off. I hope that NO ONE is taken "advantage" of like I was again.

Farah, who welcomed me at the counter, was very personable and professional.The car was dirty inside and out. probably due to the previous day's snowstorm. In addition, the gas tank was not full although hard to tell from the gauge. It was only obvious when refilling.

Not much other than the car worked fine and was availableNot being snaked into a price that wasn’t real. Upon arrival I find out I “need” a 4 wheel drive. There goes an additional 100 bucks to my charge. The staff who helped me was cold and unwelcoming.

The staff at Fox Rent-A-Car were excellent and very friendly. In particular, Geo was super nice to chat with. However, the vehicle reservation through Kayak and Fox was slightly confusing. I thought I was already paying extra to get a 4WD vehicle. However, it appears that wasn't the case. I had to pay again at the counter to get a 4WD vehicle guaranteed. Additionally, the staff at Fox recommended I get the daily toll coverage and pay in advance after I told them where I would be going. However, we ended up not using any tolls, so it was wasted money. Overall, everyone knows renting a car is a racket; I just didn't expect to get taken to the cleaners so aggressively.

There was a nail in one of the tires and the driver side windshield wiper did not have the rubber part. It was snowing so we had to stop and buy a new windshield wiper and also had to get the tire patched at a tire shop since air was leaking.

I showed up and they wanted to charge me 175 more per day for a vehicle with 4WD. In addition they never took into consideration of the monies I already paid. So in total I was charged over 1180 dollars for a 4 day rental!! I have called several times but cannot get a person on the line. Never will I do business with them!!

DO NOT RENT FROM FOX RENT A CAR. I had a reservation for a Volkswagen Jetta or similar vehicle. First, the bus that picked me up from the airport was dirty and disgusting and the inside of the building smelled like a porta potty. When I talked to the agent at the counter, she told me that it's cheaper to bring the car back unfueled. When questioned further, she admitted that they charge a $25 refueling fee plus the cost of gas. Then, she told me I could choose between a Toyota Corolla and a Hyundai Elantra. I specifically told her multiple times that I did not want the Elantra, so she told me I was getting the Corolla. After I signed the contract, she gave me the key and it was to the Elantra. Without driving the car or even leaving the building I immediately cancelled and voided the contract. Fox Rent A Car charged me a $150 fee for cancelling and Kayak refuses to refund me the $280 I paid to rent the car for 5 days even though I never drove the car. Do not rent from Fox Rent A Car. I will also never use Kayak again; the little amount of money you may or may not save isn't worth it if anything goes wrong.

When we arrived to Fox they told us we had to have a 4 wheel drive car due to a law in Colorado requiring 4 wheel drive to go into the mountains. They tried to charge us twice the price we had reserved the car for even though we didn’t even have the option to reserve 4 wheel drive online. My husband talked them down to $250 extra, which was still insane. We would have used a different rental car company had we known we were going to be scammed upon arrival. We did call Alamo and although the quote was much more reasonable, we didn’t have time to get over to them and rebook. I do not advise using Fox if you need a 4 wheel drive car. Alamo did not charge extra for 4 wheel drive.

When you reserve an suv from Denver to Aspen in winter they really need to guarantee you at least an all wheel drive. I was lucky to get one - a Nissan Rogue - but they generally seemed to have front wheel drive which doesn’t satisfy the exemption from snow chains in bad weather.

It was very easy to rent a car from Alamo at the Denver airport. We got an upgrade to a larger vehicle and loved the extra space. Pick up and drop off we’re fast and efficient.

car wasn't very clean on the interior. Long lines to pick up car. Self-check is the way to go to avoid some lines. Do whatever you can do to go straight to your car when your picking it up rather than going to general pick-up area.

I was unable to modify my reservation in any way (including pick up time which would not have impacted the cost or length of the rental) and ended up cancelling the reservation due to an extremely bad experience with the Company's website as well as customer service representatives. The website is archaic and the customer service personnel is unresponsive, impersonal, and unhelpful. As such, I chose to eat the cancellation fee and pay a higher price at Hertz.

Due to a medical issue we had to cancel our trip. I was refunded 25% of the total charge. I canceled more than 24 hours before the pickup. I doubt that I will try Kayak again.

It was a little bit of a wait to get the vehicle, I had requested a small SUV online but some how it was changed to a car. But the staff was super nice and gave me a good deal on an upgrade. The check out process was super quick and the shuttle was there waiting.

Actually it was more likely Kayak that was a mess. I entered and said I was at the Denver Airport but you booked a car down town. Huge hassle when I got to the airport rental station. That and twice as expensive and Avis seemed very much to take advantage of my being stranded and as they called me a walk up.

Do not count on getting the car you reserve. Do not count on getting the car you need; whether it's AWD or two vans instead of just one. Do not count on the person at the counter being able to help you with assistance from one of the other poorly trained representatives. Do not count on getting your car picked up in less than an hour of wait time. Do not count on the car you get working properly or not needing an oil change. Perhaps you may want to consider a different rental car company. Choose one of the non-major brands; they are all pretty bad from what I've been reading. Choose a small local company.

Check in took way too long. Had picked all that I wanted on line but when I got there they had me go through the whole thing again adding "must haves" that ended up costing me HUNDREDS more. Keys for car were way under the passenger side seat instead of cup holder. Pulled up to office to get help finding them and took another long period finding someone to help. Inside windows of car was filthy. Muddy paw prints all over every window. Return went very smooth.

My reservation search was for Denver International Airport pick up and when I arrived I found that the reservation was made for Downtown! The rate was several hundreds more!

There was an issue with my initial rental pick-up causing us to return hours later when they were fully open. I had to return my original rental (it was much larger than what I reserved and needed a smaller vehicle) and this caused my entire reservation to be closed out. I later needed roadside assistance but was declined this 'complimentary' service by both Customer Service and the local Colorado Springs Avis Manager due to my "reservation being closed out and they could not locate my reservation in their system." Thankfully, for us, we had the finances to pay for our own tow truck and new tire or else we would have been completely stranded....IN THEIR CAR?! A whole day of the vacation and $170 down the drain due to their mishap and very poor customer service. I do not suggest renting from Avis at any cost.

Price line quoted one rate and Avis charged double the amount, no clarity on bill. I am charged double the price and no one there to answer Avis points to price line and price line points to avis in case of questions and clarity. Always book car in direct websites not via these services portals. Don’t relay on rates mentioned in these websites, everyone lotting money saying other’s names.

I will not rent from here again. Waited over an hour for our rental due to multiple flight delays. Tires bald on the first car they gave us. Looked like it had already been in a pretty significant crash. Second car, upgraded to SUV, but car was assigned to someone else upon retrieval. Third car, upgraded to Mustang. Tires a little better, looked like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. We thankfully made it through the mountains alive in a mustang. But again, won’t recommend and won’t rent from here again.

I arrived to pick up a vehicle only to be told they didn’t have any vehicles. They would call me if something came in, which wasn’t acceptable as I was leaving for a trip in less than two hours. What made it worse was that no one bothered to call me to let me know they didn’t have any inventory.

I canceled my car rental, which was an easy process but led to an issue. I purchased an extra car insurance plan for the rental via the Kayak site, but this insurance plan wasn't canceled along with my Kayak reservation cancelation. Therefore, I was still charged by Allianz for $22 to insure a car that didn't exist! I emailed Allianz to try to address the issue but would appreciate help in resolving it quickly. Thank you!

$90 car rental with $200 deposit. Annoying but whatever….the real kicker is that they didn’t shut the hood on the car I rented. So that was a fun surprise when I got on the interstate and the hood is bouncing around all over the place. Denver airport location. Will never use them again

The original car I had served was not available. Then they put me into a smaller suv, that reacted of marijuana and even had evidence of it still in the cup holder. They then said they would refund me $80.00 once I dropped off the vehicle and when I did they said they had no way of actually processing the refund/credit. It was a horrible experience overall.

I was not able to call for shuttle service when I arrived to DIA. The shuttle took over 60 mins and was very packed as a lot of people were waiting. There was only one service associate when I arrived to pick up my rental car and it took over 1 hour to get my prepaid rental. I dropped my car off early in the morning and Payless was closed and there were no instructions to say to drop it off at AVIS. An Avis employee finally walked over to ell my where to go. I have not received confirmation that my rental has been returned.

The price was right but the service at rental was VERY slow. We were in line for about an hour with four rental agents working. It took them that long to work through the 12 or so people in front of me. The facility was a bit of a mess, a broken window as we walked in, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The car was the reason we were there though and while it hadn’t been washed and there was some trash in it, it was reliable and comfortable and good value for the money. The drop off process was perfect. It was fast and professional. The workers were polite through the whole process. I think they were just exhausted at check in.

The pick up experience took over two hours, and they ended up charging me almost double my agreed upon rate with no receipt provided. I spent hours on call with customer service trying to figure out why the charge, and then they told me I was charged over $400 for insurance alone for a 5 day standard SUV, and then offered to reduce it by $200 as courtesy. I’m still waiting on call from supervisor, but feel like this is a fraudulent company. They still have pushed back on providing me a receipt, so I’d avoid this company even if rates look attractive

Wait was long, about an hour. They had two agents trying to serve a load of people. Also they gave me a vehicle that was 3+ years old and in poor condition overall. It did the job buy really wasn’t what I feel like I paid for.

The car was fineThe Pick up experience took over an hour from the shuttle dropping me off at the rental facility, to being taken to the car. it appeared as if there was no plan to help the volume of customers arriving in the late Friday evening, even though this is ski season and they knew full well the number of renters who would arrive. In addition, the people at the check in counter aggressively upsold, convincing me that I should pre-pay for a full tank of gas when that was not the best thing for me. They also tried to up sell me on vehicles. I will not be using EZ car ever again

Car drop off was easy.1. I was upsold a 4wd bc the worker told me I would get turned around in Colorado for having 2wd, and was misinformed of the price too (there was no checkpoint, didn’t need it, paid more than what I was told) 2. The car pick up took way too long, apparently it was everyone’s first day so in training (literally, they told me) 3. I was OVERcharged and not given back a refund/credit 4. The shuttle driver wasn’t very friendly either 5. Needs a big change in management to salvage company reputation and operational efficiency

Rented a car but when we went to pick it up the next morning, we were told that they overbooked and there were no cars currently at there location. We ended up spending 4x the amount at another location since we needed a car the same day.

I chose to pick up at the airport, but Hertz said it was in downtown Denver. They were nice enough to switch it and get me a van at the airport. However the van they provided was filthy and in poor driving condition. When up to freeway speeds, it shook like the wheels were going to fall off. which in turn made a horrible pulsing sound like if you were to drive down the road with only one window open. Also it vibrated really bad when braking. The whole situation made my family car sick. And they never get car sick. I would have taken it back but I had to get my kids checked in over an hour away. Not a good experience for anyone.

Overall all, terrible customer service. Booked a reservation, I thought for a car with airport pick up and return, which was specifically requested. On review, order pick up was 50 minutes away. I immediately tried to cancel. I then spent 2 hours on the phone canceling,. I did try to cancel on line, but the system would not accept my request. The order then reappeared. Drop off date was Sunday, I came to return the car and the pick-up branch was close, all other branches were also close except for airport branch. I called the costumer service while on site and he told me you can drop it the next day and no extra charges will be added because it is the staff mistake they approved Sunday as a drop off day. When I came today to drop it off, staff told me there is a 24/7 drop-off option. They staff at the branch did not tell me that at the pick up time. It is so much hustle that can be avoided through a better communication. I need my money back for the extra night.

This Hertz location literally does not exist. I showed up and it was abandoned. I called and Hertz told me that, despite sending me a confirmation email for my reservation and accepting payment in advance, they had closed this location months earlier. They also told me they had no other cars available in Denver, leaving me stranded in a city where I had no place to stay. It could not possibly have been a worse experience, unless, perhaps, a Hertz employee had run me over with the car and then rented it to another customer.

THE PEOPLE AT THE HERTZ DENVER DOWNTOWN (WELTON ST) CAR RENTAL LOCATION ARE AMAZING!! THEY ARE POLITE, ATTENTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND MY CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE WAS NOT ONLY PAINLESS BUT COMPLETELY ENJOYABLE -AND MOST OF ALL, IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT.

I waited for 45 minutes as there were not cars available, despite a confirmed reservation. Then, once I got the car, it only had 3/4 of a tank of gas - and of course I filled it up at return, so not only did I lose nearly an hour on my 1-day rental (when I only had a few hours of daylight to be a tourist), but the extra gas cost added 20% to my rental cost.

Vehicle did not have low temperature windshield washing fluid and was located in Colorado. This led to a very unsafe driving experience because we could not clear the windshield during freezing conditions. The android auto feature also did not work due to the time being incorrect.

The wait for a car was about 80 minutes. I understand there is a shortage of cars but there were several open computers thrust could have been used to move customers through the line more quickly. Also, I had to purchase a battery from my own money for my key fob as the one for my vehicle didn’t work. The car was not very clean. Overall the rental was good, but not great due to the long wait and having to spend my money on a piece of equipment that should have been taken care of prior to my arrival.

Initially when we booked the truck it listed as $270 for the week. Other rental companies had their trucks listed for $600 for the week so we went with the obvious cheaper choice. When arriving to Dollar to pick up our truck we waited un line for over 2 hours, even though we had a reservation. After dropping off our truck at the end of the week I was charged an additional $280 in fees. The truck listed on the rental website for $270 so I was very shocked to be charged extra. Since the cost of the rental was similar to other companies I should have gone with one with a better reputation and customer service.

Very poor customer service . Employees standing around while the line was out the door . My car was supposed to be pick up at 12 pm . I stood in line for almost 4 hours for my rental . Plus the time I stood outside waiting for a car to become available. Will not do business again .

The line to get to the counter was more than 45 minutes long, then when we finally had the car there was another 30 minute line of cars to get out of the lot. It was so slow, there were very people working at the counter and very frustrating. They also didn’t explain why I had to pay extra fees when I was under the impression I had paid everything already. It ended up being more expensive than I was told

We waited 45 minutes on the curb at the airport for the bus to pick us up. It was 10:00 pm and we were tired. But when we finally arrived at the Dollar location, things got worse. We understood why the bus hadn't picked us up because the line to rent cars was literally out the door and there would have been no room for more people to wait. As I waited in line, my sister asked the people who were finally getting served how long they had been in line. Three hours!! At this point, we left, took the Dollar shuttle back to the airport and got the hotel shuttle to our hotel. We returned at 8:30 the next morning. It only took 30 minutes to get the car but by the time we left, the line was probably at the 1.5 hour wait length, based on the line the night before. Hire more agents!! That said, the people were friendly despite the workload. The clerks were doing their usual attempts at up-sells on insurance, gas and tolls but didn't press when you just said no thanks. The shuttle drivers were helpful, took us back to the airport when we asked. The woman outside assigning cars was so dedicated - it was obvious that these were her cars and she was trying to do a good job getting them out to clients.

Enterprise is such an incredible company! After being turned away by Thrifty - alone, in the middle of the night, most of the way across the country from my home, Enterprise saved the day! They were so kind and compassionate to my situation, and even gave me a free upgrade because they didn't have the particular vehicle I had reserved from Thrifty. I'd like to thank Enterprise for taking an awful, seemingly hopeless situation and turning it into a great experience and a wonderful start to my work-cation. Turning it back in was a breeze, and everyone seemed happy to help. I would rate Enterprise 10/10 and will be renting from them again each and every time I travel!

There was one lady who took a personal interest in completing the order after we had been waiting 20 minutes (her name was unusual and can't remember...wish I would as she was very helpful and the other employees didn't seem bothered by our lack of vehicle). Insurance almost doubled the cost of the deal Kayak found. I am not blaming Kayak, but would be nice to have help with useful information about when is it legal to decline the insurance, what are the options etc. Could be part of your reservation flow, or from the confirmation email.

Apparently, the difference between and/or is something kayak and thrifty need to put a bit more effort into. The kayak website said the vehicle they reserved for me would hold 7 passengers AND 5 large bags while thrifty said this actually translated to 7 passengers OR 5 large bags (not sure why anyone would want this option... ever). So this venture would have cost me an extra $1000 if I wasn't good at haggling. It still cost me an extra $400 even with haggling and making a scene. Will not use kayak again in the future because I can't trust the language on the website to be correct. You've lost a customer unless you can make up for the bs I just had to go through in front of my wife and 2 teenage daughters AND the extra $400 paid.

Hidden Fees. The car smelled like smoke. We were told we were required to upgrade for road conditions, that was a lie! The car we were required to upgrade to was not appropriate for mountain driving and could barely do the passes with the pedal to the floor. Rude women when we picked up the car.

The counter agent really pushed their "services" which only would increase the price of the rental dramatically. After saying "no" several times the agent came to the conclusion that I wasn't interested in the extra fees. Very irritating.

We had to wait about 45 minutes to get our vehicle due to the rental car shortage but they were kind enough to upgrade our vehicle and take a day off our rental cost. It was unfortunate but they provided good service under the circumstances!

In and out had the truck I was promised. Super fast.The price was good but still had several hidden fees and quote was $15 a day but was charged $17.10 a day. Just be transparent so people can properly budget.

Quick and easyI was in and out in 10 min. Super nice people and easy drop offIt took 5-10 min for them to open the gate to let people out. There was a line of about 10 cars just impatiently waiting for no reason. Had I not waited for the gate, I would have been in and out in less than 3 min which would have been impressive.

No mention that US license was prohibitedthe carI live outside the USA. I occasionally go to the US and I need to rent a car. in the past I rented through kayak and europcar without a problem. however this time when I arrived I gave the representative my drivers license - which is a US drivers license - and they told me I could not rent the car. instead I would need to rent a new one for 3 times the price. they said an international rental could not be done in the USA with a USA license. However NOWHERE WAS I EVER INFORMED OF THIS. NOWHERE IS THIS RESTRICTION LISTED IN THE AGREEMENT THAT I SIGNED WITH EUROPCAR. I was forced to spend $150 on Uber for two days, and i went to AAA with Uber and for $20 i changed my license to an international license, and went all the way back to the airport to rent my same car - having wasted two days of the rental.
