Great car - poor pickup and drop-offThe car was fantastic. We requested a compact and were given an Imola Yellow Jeep Renegade, which was perfect for the kind of driving we were doing in Spain.Dollar is run by Hertz in Spain, and this was a bit confusing. Pickup in Bilbao would have been fine, except that the car was slightly damaged in at least 6 locations - but only four were noted by Hertz. I found two more, immediately - only one of which was noted by the Hertz agent. The other he said, was an "insignificant" scratch, and refused to note it.

Staff tried to remedy a bad situation. I requested a small car for 2 people. They said you offered a commercial van without windows and had no other option. It took extra long time to and hassle and they charged extra.Your website did not accurately reflect the options.

The car was fine but we had to turn it in over a week earlier and we were assured at the drop off that we would be refunded. It has been over 2 weeks and we sent them an e-mail and have not received a reply or our refund

Easy company to deal withFriendly staff and the car was spotless. I didn’t t get the car I booked but the car I was given was good. Unfortunately I bumped the car and damaged a door so I had to pay €615 however it was my fault. I paid for excess insurance separate so I was covered for the €615.I would’ve preferred the seat Ibiza but the micra was a good replacement. Sat Nav should be provided as standard as the car has the functionality but the SD card has been removed and you need to pay more for it

Smooth at check-in, knowledgeable representative, got a very nice ride. The price was hefty since the dropoff was at a different location. Understandable, I was fine with that. Dropoff: bitter. Sat 2:30pm and the Santander (Cantabria, Spain) airport rental return lot was unattended, which was a total surprise for me. Walked inside the airport to the rental office and it was closed... Dropped-in the car key with a note, hoping they'll send me a final bill without any surprise...

DisasterThey were courteous when I picked up the car. Spoke English well. There was not much of a wait to get serviceThe GPS did not work well. The car would not start onthe last day of the trip and neither The Hertz office in Nice or in Spain would help. Allianz insurance would not help. The situation is still not resolved, I have spent 6 or more hours on the phone with only getting told "that I need to talk to a different Hertz office.

Terrible RIP OFF in Spain Bilbaocar was newI booked a car for 6 passengers only to be told its not big enough for our luggage.I was given a bigger car that I had to pay for. Then I was told that the car I purchased didn't include any Insurance at all and that I was liable up to 25000 Euro. in all I had to pay approx. another $450 Euro for the car. I wont waste my time on the holiday complaining and reporting this abuse of vulnerable travellers(when they don't have another choice and cancellation is not allowed) but when I get back to Sydney I will be making formal complaints

The car was clean and well maintained.The pick up and drop off experience could have been better. The staff was not very knowledgable regarding local laws even though they get tourists all the time. The rental was supposed to cost 240$ but they placed a hold of 1000$. Not sure if they are gonna remove that, or I'd have to talk to customer care to get that removed. Drop off was exceedingly painful with no clear instructions.

Hidden chargesGood car, reasonable priceHidden "surcharge" fee with tax on that as well of course. No idea what this is for. I pre-paid with kayak and returned the vehicle in good order and full of fuel. Maybe there's a good reaon for it but certainly isn't explained in the invoice I've been sent after returning home.

Lied to about rate.Had a 6 day rental. Returned the car one day early before 3 pm and expected one day less in rate and lady who checked me out made up some story about a 5 day rental could be a different rate than a 6 day. Confusing because when I picked up car nothing was said to me and actually was told it would be one day cheaper. Lame to be lied to then overcharged
