Boarding was slow and cabin crew was even slowing down the process.
Worst airline ever. Never again!
Te laat en niet efficiënt boarden
There’s no point in paying for priority if we all just end up in the same queue at the same place
The flight was delayed one hour. Soon after, I got an email saying that the flight was moved for the next day at midnight, changing my entire plans at the destination. I went to the gate to see what was going on and they were actually boarding and in their last call! It was very confusing and stressful because I nearly miss the flight for the miscommunication.
Schiphol airport needs to get their stuff together. I had to wait one hour at the passport control for EU national ID members, not the international one that they were waiting for 4 hours, and the baggage claim had an other hour on top of delays. That is insane, trying to exit the airport, at this point just let me get my own bag from the luggage compartment.
No water or light snacks, unless you pay a lot of money for it. Zero leg space
Yeah, allow us to bring our carry-on luggage without charging more. I've never seen another airline do this, and decreases your chances of my using you again.
Very fast check-in and boarding
Booked priority boarding but all passengers boarded at the same.
Not Transavia item, but baggie claim took more than 30 min
Flight delayed. Information was sent via SMS which was helpfull, but also misleading: First message indicated only a change of type of airplane. The second about a delay. No update on revised delay time later. No good follow-up on boarding time etc afterwards,
The luggage handling at arrival was extremely slow. The indication "first luggage on belt" was not correct at all. This is the second time it arrives to me and I will choose other carriers as a consequence.
Horrible airline and airport
Pros: Great crew, gently made sure we had our masks on.
Cons: Boarded some passengers very early and had to wait on bus and plane for other passengers who boarded at normal time.
Cons: Bigger sits
Pros: The crew was great!
Cons: Nether the Dutch government or the Greek government is allowing Americans into their countries, yet Transavia refuses to refund my ticket money. That is the height of abysmal, disrespectful, if not criminal service. Effectively, they stole my money.
Pros: The plane was already delayed they didnt notify us and when they posted the time on the board, we went 15 mins before the take off and they didnt let us on the plane
Cons: Communication
Pros: Nothing Horrible service
Cons: The customer service. The flight attendants have no respect
Pros: Schiphol was as busy as I’ve ever seen it even at 5am in the morning, but the combination of efficient systems and good natured staff throughout made everything flow very well. This good nature and friendliness was extended into the flight crew who were great. Unfortunate that the flight was delayed by an hour, but I understand this was no fault of the airline or crew. I just made my connection in Lisbon, so all was well. I’d also like to mention the helpful lady at bag drop. A nice reception is always appreciated.
Cons: More updates from the flight deck during the delay would have been nice, but overall I was impressed and would certainly fly with that airline again.
Cons: Water for free
Pros: Got from point A to point B alive and intact.
Cons: I was not familiar with Transavia before this trip. It is a discount airline. ‘Nuff said. I guess I understand now why the ticket was so cheap...
Cons: I arrived 45 minutes before boarding, they refused to let me on the plane because they had closed the registration process. I had to buy another ticket
Pros: The positive crew!
Cons: Hire more crews like this!
Pros: Nothing to tell seriously
Pros: Our flight had a medical emergency with a divert to Bourdeaux. I was quit impressed on how the crew managed the entire situation. Very impressive!
Pros: Just good all around
Cons: Water for free. I prefer airlines where I can drink my own one or two beers ;-)
Pros: I liked the cost/revenue ratio
Cons: No changes to be made, or offer a free coffee
Pros: Yes
On board Transavia flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x40x25cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Transavia assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
Transavia offers direct flights to 90 cities in 26 different countries. Amsterdam, Málaga, and Faro are the most popular cities covered by Transavia.

As it is based in the Netherlands, Transavia offers flights to four main Dutch cities, three of which are its primary hubs. In addition to domestic voyages, customers have the opportunity to go to many countries located throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, including Morocco, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
While the company doesn’t maintain codeshare agreements, it does have connections with other groups. For example, the airline is a subsidiary of KLM, meaning that it is also a part of the KLM - Air France group. Additionally, it has its own subsidiary, which is known as Transavia France and uses its own fleet.
Out of the 42 planes that compose Transavia’s fleet, a majority of them are Boeing. For shorter flights, such as domestic trips or voyages between two neighboring countries, the company chooses to use the Boeing 737-700, a plane that has a passenger capacity for 149 individuals and is known for having a spacious three-seat configuration. For longer international flights the airline is more likely to use the Boeing 737-800, as it can fit up to 189 individuals and has a larger fuel capacity.
Those that fly with Transavia are presented with three travel classes to decide between: Basic, Plus, and Max. While Basic gives you the right to bring a piece of hand luggage, Plus will allow you to check a bag and pick your seat. With Max, you will also be given access to the same benefits and amenities as Plus, as well as fast track security and priority boarding.
