|Top route||Phuket City to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi|
|Top airport||Bangkok Suvarnabhumi|
Pros: We forgot to pack our liquid products into the check in baggage. After we went through the security check, we brought the liquid products back to the boarding pass counter, our baggage had already been sent to downstream. But the staffs was very helpful, they provided a box, packed the liquid products for us and checked it in as the second luggage. This solved our headache and it was a huge deal for us, making us smile. Thanks to your crew/staffs again.
Cons: Providing some snacks would be helpful when getting off the board.
Cons: We got drinking water after landing. Would be better to provide some snacks on the way out.
Pros: On time, clean smooth ride. Landed early!
Pros: Brilliantly safety-conscious crew but very personable.
Cons: It would been very nice to not have to board a shuttle bus to be taken to the flight in BKK.
Pros: The crew was the most expert crew I have seen. I fly thousands of miles every year. Their alertness to safety was unprecedented for me. In Yangon the counter personnel were equally excellent, safety-conscious and personable.
Cons: It would be really nice not to have to board a bus in BKK to be shuttled to my next flight.
Cons: I understand that the crew was probably tired, but I believe they can be friendlier.
Pros: Crew are efficient and friendly
Cons: Portion of food could have been slightly bigger
Cons: Since no one was in first class and I was in the first row not allowing me to use the restroom
Up front when there was a long line in the back seemed rude
Pros: Good and being on time
Cons: So far so good for its price
Pros: Good meal
Cons: Check in and luggage drop for share code with Thai airways. It is not clear instruction when booking with Thai airways. We lost time with Thai airways but finally need to drop the luggage at Thai smil counter.
Pros: Lovely people. Lovely service. Good food.
Cons: Good job
Pros: Great services
Cons: Great seat and smooth flight
Cons: Excellent price generous luggage allowance.
Pros: Super cool light meal in a little bag. Best budget airline I have flown.
Pros: Seamless boarding and deviating.
Cons: Thai Smole seats offer the least legroom in my experience. Very narrow.
Cons: My booking name TANG MENGLY Why ticket show LY MENGTANG My mom can not get the fly we bought anther ticket for 140 dollar
Cons: An hour delay for no expressed reason is not acceptable.
Pros: Nothing apart from kind crew
Cons: Food was really not good at all! Very poor The inside of plane was not clean!
Pros: I'm very justifying for the flight.
Pros: On-time departure and arrival.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Pros: Airfare was reasonably priced.
Cons: Delay. This was the third flight in a week that I encountered flight delays of up to 15-20 minutes.
Excellent short hop
Cons: Nothing negative
tight connection, no problem
Pros: we had only an hour to get through immigration and connect to another flight...with a child in tow. There was an airline rep that met us at the plane and drove us to the next gate and directed us to a quick immigration line. Fantastic!
Much better than our Australian carrier.
Pros: Great flight on Thai Smile.
Pros: friendliness of staff
Cons: Entertainment program was boring, leg space limited
Cons: No online check-in available. Waited very long for someone to show up at check-in desk a few hours before the flight.
great food and comfort
Pros: love the food
Pros: Comfort and ease of boarding always makes Thai airlines a great trip. The staff is so helpful and friendly.
Cons: There wasn’t any tv to watch and not by way of magazines either.
Cons: Getting our bags took a long time
Pros: Good services
Cons: Good service and comfortable
All around easy trip!
Pros: Easy to book, travel and get around with.
Cons: The on board snack isn’t great.
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere and attentiveness of the flight attendants
Cons: The distance of the terminal to the aircraft
Beware the baggage fees
Pros: Seats were comfy and staff helpful and nice.
Cons: $60 charge for 10 kilos overweight limit. This is terrible.
Pros: Friendly staff overall good experience.
Cons: Only issue is there is no alchohol on these flights.
Pros: We paid for a thai international flight which includes allowing us to use the lounge. We were told in china that WE was the airline not thai international and we could not use the lounge, had no baggage allowance other than the minimum. We chose TG because it was star alliance and we are permanent lifetime gold members. There is no reason to pay a premium for TG if it is not a TG flight and we cannot use the lounge or have a low baggage limit. The check in staff noted our bags were exactly 20 kgs each and said there would be a charge of USD45 per kilo if we had exceeded that amount. This is ridiculous given that we should have the same as UA or SG.
Cons: I have already mentioned the false advertising and poor service in china. TG cannot tell its loyal customers it is a TG flight and then charge for TG and then say it is not a TG flight. Nothing works right in China but i hope now that we are in thailand TG will honor its normal benefits to star alliance gold and platinum members. Otherwise, we wont fly TG any more.
Late departure without explanation
Cons: We did not receive any information as to why our flight was late.
Pros: Our train from Chiang Mai was 2 hrs late. Our taxi driver sped us as fast as he could, but we had only 15 min from check in to the airplane take off. The counter personnel were so helpful in calling the gate for permission to board. We ran across the airport and made it thanks to Thai Smile staff.
Cons: Vegetarian food option
Pros: Boarding was super fast and efficient. For a 1,5 hour flight, we were given food and drinks. Can’t find that in the US.
Cons: Loved everything
Not allowed to use kindle in airplane mode
Pros: Not Allowed to read on my kindle in airplane mode. Made for dry boring and long flight!!!
Pros: Overall service including f
Meals and drinks provided on flight and the ground handling and air crew all excellent.
Definitely recommend Thai Smile
Pros: For a budget friendly airline you can't go wrong with Thai Smile. they were on time, food was provided free, staff was friendly.
Two trips on Thai Smile overall Pretty Good
Pros: Flew out of BKK versus other airport in Bangkok. Easier to connect to international flights. Good service and frequent flights
Cons: They have sandwiches on the flights but they weren’t the best quality, I didn’t like what they gave out. We had roaches next to us crawling up the wall on our last flight, ended up finding some food Trash under our seat that was missed. not pleasant.
Pros: Very good
Pros: Great service
Pros: Very nice
Pros: We arrived safely
Cons: They kept canceling flights. Bad service would not fly again.
Pros: Crew was friendly and helpful, boarding was easy, flight was smooth
Cons: No entetainment, food just a pretty untasty sandwich
Pros: Great short flight. Flight attendants were really hustling to get everyone served and picked up after on such a short flight.
Cons: When I booked with Thai Smile direct, the booking somehow added insurance. I know I did not choose insurance. Working with AMEX ;to dispute those charges. Be careful if you book direct with Thai Smile.
Pros: smooth as silk
Pros: friendly, professional crew
Pros: I would highly recommend flying with this airline. It was a very efficient process and the staff was not only helpful but very nice.
So so experience
Cons: The flight from BKK-VTE did not allow online check-in and had to check in at the airport. The line to check in had 10 people in front of me which then proceeded to take over 1.5 hours to reach the counter. then was the very last person to get on the flight - the plane then didn’t leave for another 30 minutes. Thai Smile managed to make a 1 hour flight to Vientiane turn into a 4-5 hour journey between arriving early, waiting forever in the counter check in line, then being driven to the plane and actually leaving. Bangkok Airways and Air Asia (don meaung) is the better option for this short journey.
No refund even due to injury
Cons: I had a fracture in my leg several days prior to my trip so had to cancal all. My thai smile tickets were booked with vayama. They r the only suppliers whom declined my request for free cancaltion or even freeze our tickets.
Phuket to Chiang Mai
Pros: Friendly staff through every step of the way.
Cons: Vegan food options would be a wonderful addition. Everything else was great!
Cons: There's only one down side of this flight. The Lucknow international airport terminal is downright embarrassing. There are four or five desks to handle passport control. That's fine, but none has a label on it as to who should be at which. NonIndians should go to the extreme left one. Then they have one xray machine that all arrivals have to put their carry-ons through while the previous flight is trying to put all their heavy luggage (they are most likely all male workers coming from the Gulf). Then there is a small, rickety belt with everyone crowded around for the luggage. Well, there are two belts, but only one is functional. And to top it off, most of the luggage carts have at least one broken wheel! Amazing and embarrassing when arriving from any terminal almost anywhere! Lucknow, you have a lovely domestic terminal, wake up and build an international one! Shurum ki bat ha!
Love Thai Smile
Pros: Love the AirBus 320, the service, to get all the passengers a sandwich in an hour flight is amazing! Luggage delivery is amazingly fast!
Cons: Would like to have later flights in the evening so connections to overseas flights at BKK are easier. Otherwise, nothing!
As this airline is primarily based in Thailand, a majority of its flights are domestic. However, the company has been adding to its list of international flight paths, making it possible for passengers to travel to other countries in Asia, such as China, Hong Kong, India, and Malaysia.
Although THAI Smile has not made any codeshare agreements with other companies, it is a member of Star Alliance. Star Alliance is the world’s largest airline organization and is headquartered in Germany, with some of its additional members including Asiana Airlines and Air India. The company is also a subsidiary of Thai Airways.
THAI Smile offers two travel classes for passengers to choose from, known as Economy and Premium. If you purchase an Economy ticket, you will have access to benefits like drinks, snacks, in-flight entertainment, and the option of bringing a carry-on bag for free. For those that will be flying Premium, you will be given perks such as a larger seat that provides additional legroom and priority boarding.
This company has a fleet that is composed of 20 different planes, many of which are Airbus. For short to medium-range flights, the Airbus A320-200 is the aircraft that is used the most often, as it can fit almost 175 passengers and has a comfortable seating arrangement. However, out of all of the different types of planes that the airline employs, the Airbus A320-200SL is the one that is used the most frequently, because it can fit approximately 160 passengers and has an impressive flying range.
