Great Value, Would Stay Again
Room was perfect size for just me, View was great, staff was extremely helpful and friendly, everything was clean, location in proximity to downtown was perfect.
Surrounding area isn’t the greatest but I still felt safe at all times.
I LOVE THE MAYFAIR
View, Staff, Location
Close to everything
Location was close to everything but not in a nice area. No parking available at hotel ($30 a night, not included in your rate). Rooms are very small, pictures and ad on site are misleading.
Nice, hotel. Room has windows that actually open and let's fresh air in.
Bathroom is small and doors open outward like a closet. One of the bathroom doors was jammed and we kept squeezing in through one. Rooms look like they are still being worked on. Few things here and there that look unfinished. Like the window seals and dry wall left-overs.
Run down dump
The hotel room was filthy, towels were dirty and the staff was rude
Nice location and clean
It was a great room, they are currently remodeling the hotel so during the day there is a little noise from construction. The staff was polite and great as well. I wish the bathroom was a bit larger because two people trying to get ready at the same time isn't going to happen.
Better on the inside!
The room was cute and bigger then i expected for a standard room i loved it, super surprised. I was skeptical at first because the neighborhood isn't that great but as soon as you walk in completely different than what you think it's going to be the staff were super nice and helpful and the room is really clean
The heater didn't work just the AC so I got a little cold in the middle of the night the extra blanket wasn't too much of a help the bathroom door keep getting stuck so only one side will open nothing major the areas in the best area but I don't think that the hotel can help that. Also parking was sort of a pain in the butt I had to pay $30 for the valet to park my car
Well... Lets just say I left.
The rooms that were available and renovated looked nice. But there was no other "good" things about it.
I disliked everything. The AC and the water didn't work the first day we were there. The construction seemed slow going making the place look like trash. The location is kinda in a beatdown neighbor hood. The bathrooms are the size of a coat closet and the shower wouldn't fit fairly obese person so it's not size friendly. Staff didn't do certain things when requested, like bringing us a fan because the AC didn't work. Luckily I got all my money back when I left. This place needs to shut down and finish all the renovations or never open again.
great staff , great location , great view of the c
The staff was the greatest ever !
The central air !!! My babies got sick so I had to stay another day . The room was very cold !!! & the power outage in the middle of the night !!! No food on site & delivery was a problem . No table in rooms to eat . The step where the ac is is not very safe for small children . No room to move around inside my room every time my daughter turned around she bumped into a piece of furniture
Best kept secret!
The views are amazing and so is the location.
$50 Credit Card incidentals.
Interesting Stay at Mayfair
I liked how easy it was to Valet my car and was only $20 a day with in and out privileges. Checking into the hotel was fast and had an assistant to help. The room on the 15th Floor for King size bed and renovated was very pleasant and spacious. The location is super close to downtown which has the convention center, Staples Arena, Shopping and restaurants.
When I checked in to my room, turned out to be the wrong room as it was under renovation with a maid cart in the middle. We went back down and the front desk upgrade us to the King size suite. The elevator has under renovation with a huge hole at the top and the bell man scared us about comparing it to the Ring. The lobby was under renovation as we looked forward seeing it.
convenient downtown location and good value
no air conditioning...room was hot at night
The Historic Mayfair Hotel has featured prominently in Los Angeles' history. Once the tallest building west of the Mississippi, the hotel was the site of the first Academy Awards after-party and has been used as a setting in a number of films. Today, it retains its old-school, upscale charm while offering guests all the modern amenities they need. The Hotel Stepping into the marble, pillared hotel lobby is like going back in time. The Historic Mayfair Hotel was built in the 1920s, modeled after the grand European hotels of the era. Of course, the beds have gotten much more comfortable over the decades, free Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay connected, and a fitness center means health-minded guests don't have to break from routine. On-site parking is available for a fee, and public transit runs right outside. The in-house restaurant, the Celebrity, offers a very affordable full breakfast. Nearby Attractions Located in downtown L.A; the Historic Mayfair Hotel is near Bunker Hill and Pershing Square, while the metro outside will quickly take guests to Little Tokyo, Chinatown, or Koreatown. The Nokia Theater, L.A. Live, and the Staples Center are all nearby. The Page Museum, home of the La Brea Tar Pits, is within short driving distance. For families seeking out classic California pastimes, Universal Studios is 12 miles away, while Disneyland is a little farther, at thirty miles away.
