Athens hotels

Athens is a great destination for children. With myriad family-friendly sights and attractions as well as a beachfront location, Athens offers endless ways to keep the little ones entertained. Consider searching for a hotel in peaceful Kifisia, home to a park and natural history museum, or base yourself in the city centre in Plaka near the Acropolis. Glyfada is another attractive option due to its proximity to the beach and the large choice of budget-friendly hotels.

Much of the best Athens nightlife is clustered around the city centre, in Kolonaki, Psirri or Gazi. City Circus Athens is an excellent budget choice with hostel style accommodation in one of Athens’ old mansions. In summer, consider a hotel in the Glyfada area, where the nightlife picks up by the beach.

Kolonaki is the most famous area for shopping in Athens.
