the check in was quite poor. i did not know what line was for elal and what was for air portugal. a big mess. very annoying. also very frustrating was that the airplane left one hour late because a prior flight was late. but they must have known that in advance and should have alerted us to come an hour later. where was the consideration for our time?
Plenty of leg room on the new el al planes. It’s a miracle.
Pros: Crew abs entertainment were good.
Cons: The flight was delayed for 10 hours. We were notified when we were already at the airport, no real reason for the delay was given to us.
Pros: Crew was awesome food was delicious and very comfortable
Cons: The options for movies could be a little bit better internet didn’t work
Pros: price. on time. new aircraft.
Cons: They didn't issue me a ticket and i stuck in Heathrow airport. Worst of the worst
Pros: The crew was amazing
Cons: JFK baggage claim long delay
Pros: Premium economy was very comfortable
Cons: The staff at check in was terrible and unhelpful. And the entertainment turned off about 3 hours into the flight. (10+ hour flight )
Cons: No issues-very clean cabin and bathrooms. Professional team!
Cons: The woman who checked me in at the start of my journey from TLV on 2/17/20 provided exceptional customer service. She was very professional and customer service excelled beyond measure. Thank you. My return flight on 3/23/20 was enjoyable and pleasant. Bathrooms on plane very well maintained. I will definitely fly El Al in the future!
Cons: The back of the plane was very hot.
Cons: a little more leg room
Pros: Very helpful crew. Cabin felt brand new. Good food for economy.
Cons: Seat was difficult to get comfortable in. Seatback was broken. USB plug in seatback was broken. Double-prong headphone jack made using my noise cancelling ones a challenge.
Pros: The plain... excellent, new and flight friendly
Cons: The comfort
Cons: More organized boarding. Better service in flight. The flight attendants didn’t come around accept for meals. No water offered and no snacks in the galley as other airlines offer.
Pros: Amazing and loveable crew, on time and very safe
Pros: I was upgraded to economy plus at no charge As there were empty seats
Cons: No hard liquor. Only wine
Cons: meets expectations
Cons: Boarding process was not nice. Secondary check up is fine but explanation would be helpful and communication from airport crew was awful.
Cons: Excellent flight.
Pros: Nothing was amazing on this flight
Leg Cramps and Lost Luggage
Pros: El Al flightcrew was courteous and friendly, and the aircraft was new.
Cons: Horrible leg room, poor seat comfort, poor entertainment choices, food and drink service was inconsistent. El Al airline lost not one but BOTH of my checked bags, and the number they gave me to call to open a baggage claim had no answer and a full voice mail box. I will never fly El Al again no matter how cheap.
Pros: Everything was excellent but not enough legroom. That is all airlines. Not just El Al. Unfortunate that a 6'1" man has to be punished for being tall.
Pros: The service and the smiles of the team. Very professional pilot.
Cons: The food...very bad.
Cons: Service and amenities very poor.
Cons: The seats were completely uncomfortable. The entertainment and the service were good. The sandwich is horrible.
Controlling operations out of a hub in Tel Aviv, EL AL flies to more than 30 countries across the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. A strong focus of the network is connecting Israel to the north through gateway destinations across Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Recognized as the official flag carrier of Israel, it serves an entirely kosher menu of meals onboard. Sun d’Or operates as a subsidiary of the larger carrier and concentrates efforts on providing seasonal services to vacation destinations, such as Croatia, Greece and Spain. Codeshare agreements with airlines, such as Air China, S7 Airlines, Iberia and American Airlines, offer a wider-spanning network of connected flights.
You can choose between Economy and Business Class on all EL AL flights, with Premium Economy also available on services operated by wide-body jets. Customers in all cabin classes have access to USB and power sockets. Seats in Premium Economy have inbuilt footrests, while those in Business Class extend to a 78 in flat bed. The Business Class experience includes the option of choosing an isolated window seat or larger shared central spot that comes with a privacy divider.
Boeing is the preferred manufacturer, with their aircraft making up the entire fleet. Models such as the 787-9 and 737-800 are some of the most commonly flown. A simple blue and white design decorates the fleet with the Star of David painted on the tail. A unique 787 Dreamliner has an old-fashioned retro livery, while all planes are named after Israeli cities, which is printed underneath the cockpit window.
