Cons: Waiting 45 minutes curbside watching all other rental car companies shuttles pass by dozens of times. Waiting in line to get car for hour plus. No one to return car to. I am a business traveler and have never in all my travels experiernced such short comings of a rental car company.

Cons: they didn't know there job I went up there first they said i needed my pay stub and proof of full coverage insurance to use a debit card because i'm 23 so i did then i went back up there they said i couldn't because i was under the age of 25 so my dad was going to use a rental for the day while i used his card turns out he had to do the same thing but they never said anything about running a credit check which my father doesn't have the best of credit so they denied him even after we had to go put money on his main back account for the unknown 200$ deposit. they never knew any of this information they never told us this we wasted 3 hours going back and forth to places to meet the requirements not knowing what was going to happen. we wasted a bunch of time because they weren't very informative they just ran ever thing and said oops you need this oops you need that not once did they say anything about a credit check nor did they know that because i was under 25 i have to use a credit card. if they would have known there job we wouldn't have wasted so much time.

Pros: The line was short...
Cons: My flight was on time. I arrived to the car rental place on time. When I went to get my car, I was told that they did not have any cars, even though I made a reservation. The clerk told me that I could wait a while and see if a car came back, which I did. After almost an hour, still no cars. Now I was forced to find another place with cars so that I could get on to my conference. Renting a car from a car rental window, last minute cost significantly more. I had to pay twice as much as I had budgeted for a rental car and I wasted hours out of my day because they did not honor their end of the agreement. Never again!

Cons: Due to plane issues we were more than 2 hours. Late to pick up rental. Place was a kiosk not a desk- shuttle driver didn't know they existed. Because I was late, I was charged twice what I had agreed to pay. I was told because it was OU/TX weekend that prices were increased. The Nissan Rogue I had reserved was what I got. They only had about 20 cars to choose from. Only 1 other was rented. Rogue immediately had tire pressure lights come on and floor was not clean.

Initially the guy wanted to give me an SUV, but I explained how long I waited and he ended up giving me a full size.
Cons: Pick up took me 1.5 hours. I showed up at 10:30 with a reservation for noon, waited in line for 30 minutes, and was told to come back at noon because "I might be given someone else's car". I showed up at noon, waited for 30 minutes. They finally brought someone from DFW who knew what he was doing.

Incredibly lousy service
Cons: Understaffed and poor communication by the staff that were there.
Pros: There was nothing to like. Kayak representatives failed to be helpful/resourceful in supporting me to resolve the issue of no rental available at Enterprise Rental, after the flight I booked on Kayak was delayed and therefore no car was available at the airport, when I arrived. The representatives had a "not our problem" response to my concerns regarding the debicle. I ended up spending triple the amount the rental to retrieve my sick mother and get her back to Dallas international to go back to Los Angeles. No Bueno Kayak.

Pros: My experience with the staff was fantastic. I love the fact that the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to the best of their abilities. Going the extra mile to assist us with the issue for which we encountered great service their rendered for my family and I. A staff afford me the used of his personal cellular phone.
Cons: I love the fact that all of the staff tried very hard to accommodate my family and I. We ended with Alamo which is the same company great service and different policy I respect all policy however when you have guest visiting from another country management should be empowered to except cash, if it is the only method of payment. The reservation that we had with Enterprise was not at the air port, when we arrived they were closed. we did not check our booking therefore we could only be accommodated for one night if we cancel are reservation. We had a long drive of two hours drive to Wichita Falls that night so we had to cancel just to get a car that night. which cost us in the end more than sixteen hundred dollars verses eight hundred and eleven dollars twenty four cents which was the cost of the reservation.

Pros: I got a rental in Dallas since it was cheaper to fly to DFW and drive the 3 hours to my boyfriend instead of flying to him. I originally had a small economy car (Kia or similar) but once I got there Erica asked if I would mind a free upgrade. I ended up with a Jeep, and she also waived my gas fee since I had to get a suv. The jeep was great and Erica was great, drop off was easy! Great experience I'll definitely be using Enterprise again!

Issue with pickup - cost me time, money and inconvenience.
Cons: When I had booked the vehicle I had a choice of taking -
(1) Pick up and drop off from DFW
(2) Pick up from Dallas Love field airport and drop off at DFW.
Since (2) was being offered at a better price, I called in to see what the mode of transportation from DFW to Dallas Love Field would be and what it would cost. I was told by your rep that there were shuttles running between the two airports and the cost to me would free (complementary).
With this information, I booked (2). When I reached your DFW pick up point and inquired about the complementary shuttle, I was today that I had to book a cab to Dallas Love Field airport at my cost to go to the Dallas Love field to pick up point.
Your DFW desk called in a cab for me which cost be USD 80 for this trip.
I found out later that this amount was more than what is typical charged for this journey.
I wish I was told the truth by your customer service rep. In which case I would have taken option (1) and saved myself both time,money and convenience.
I would also appreciate it if you can reimburse this USD 80 amount to me.

Pros: The person who ended up finding car for us was fantastic
Cons: We checked in and the lady told us a car was coming. We waited for roughly 25-30 minutes and found out she took off without making sure we received our car. Her name was Gerogette. Luckily some one was there that helped us and made sure we got what we needed.

Not as advertised.
Pros: Car was clean and ran well with no problems other than an unknown rattling in the back of the vehicle whenever we hit a bump. Check out was fast.
Cons: We had made a reservation to pick up in one city and drop off in another. While Kayak implies that this is an hour by hour rental, we were charged for the full day on the day of our return. Alamo was not helpful in also starting the clock on our rental a half hour before we had left the lot.
Additonally, when we went to pick up the car, there was literally one option to choose from. When I say one option, I mean one vehicle and one vehicle only.
We may go out of our way to try a competitor next time.

Cons: Service was terrible. It started with me booking the rental at the wrong airport. And I acknowledge this was my fault. The person at the counter said she would call me a taxis to get me to the correct Dollar site. I asked how much and she said $50. Well, she got me a car service that charged me $75. There was only one car to choose from. And the person booking me didnt want to redo the booking when I stated that only my husband would drive and the booking was under my name. The charge for the toll tag is ridiculous. The driver side door creaked every time we opened the door.

Pros: Decent car. Customer service wasn't bad, although no single employee could handle questions or conversations beyond the standard "script." If there is a fee or a policy you want to know more about, yours is not to reason why.
Cons: A car rental should not be similarly priced to a plane ticket. After insurance and taxes, it would have been only ten dollars more for me to have just taken a flight.

One way last minute
Pros: Lower last minute one way rate that was 1/3 of cost. Quick efficient service at location despite holiday weekend crowd.
Cons: I got a phone call 30 min prior to my pickup time on Sunday afternoon saying they had no more cars. They said the airport would honor my $69 reservation, but they did not. They tried to charge me $250 for a 2 day rental. Completely inappropriate, unprofessional and unacceptable.

Cons: I cancelled the reservation before I arrived there- I was looking for a reservation for Dallas Love field and this appeared to me to be that reservation- I searched your site, Dallas, Love field- and this came up- I don;t have the details. I had my doubts that Ross Avenue in Dallas, was in fact your airport rental address- or the place that maybe a shuttle would drive me to- and I called Hertz. I was right- it is totally the wrong place- I'd need a cab to go downtown to get this car at the address you sold me- purely a bad and misrepresented recommendation and not clear from your site. Luckily I changed it easily and the person at Hertz said it was all wrong for Love Field- please make it clearer on your site, however you can do that. I doubt I will use Kayak again- all these middleman sites- yours, Trivago, Expedia- you do not communicate clearly.

Screwed by Kayak - and Hertz - again
Cons: Despite entering the airport code as a pickup point for the car, the reservation was made for a downtown city location 30 miles from the airport. Suspicious that the confirmation had an address on it without the word "airport," I'd called Hertz after making the reservation, and Hertz CONFIRMED that the pickup location was the airport.
The day before my trip, feeling unsure, I called Hertz again to confirm and was told the pickup point was downtown, that it was my error for making the reservation at the wrong location, that my price/reservation would not be honored at the airport location, and anyway there weren't any cars available. The agent on the phone seemed to be working from a call center and was obviously not familiar with American cities, travel problems, or general practices. She would not transfer me to a manager to talk to.
Obviously, Kayak has no dog in this hunt, since once the reservation is made, they sign off and check out. Thanks, Kayak, you were NO HELP AT ALL.
In the end, I had to make a last minute rental with another agency, which cost me $100 more than the original deal, and than I had planned to spend.
A really terrible experience all around. I've had two experiences with Kayak and both were as negative as this, so buh-bye Kayak! Your no-customer-service ability SUCKS.

Not what I expected from Hertz
Pros: Dents in car, all over. Inside windows not clean. Rear quarter panel started flapping in wind on interstate, necessitating a stop and purchase of tape to do temporary fix. "Maintenance Required" warning light came on when I was miles from nowhere. When I called to get extension of time to return the car I could not understand th person on the phone. Nowhere on paperwork was address shown for return, just Dallas DTN. I was relieved to find it ant turn it in.

Lack of support
Pros: I rented the car unknowingly for downtown because the DFW airport rental location is offsite and the address on didn't help. Hertz was not supportive of the move to the airport location. Following that I had two rental car options. One car who obviously had strapping tape used on the back door and one that smelled of old French fries. I went with the fries knowing if something was previously wrong with the other car's door I would be blamed and charge. It will be a long time until I rent from Hertz again.

Cons: Line was unacceptably long with only three employees working when we picked up. Two hours late to drop off and was charged for an extra day. The car was okay, but could have been cleaner and a higher trim level. I rented a car in the same class in Portland the week before and it was miles better.

Pros: We had a car. Rental location in reference to the airport was good.
Cons: A few things to keep in mind. First and most important, the individual processing the paperwork never mentioned the e-toll convenience fee of $3.95 a day. We rented for the car for four days so paid $15.80 for a $1.73 toll. Seems fair.
Second, we rented a Jeep Patriot 2WD. Not a great car so future renters, keep in mind and ask for something else in that car class.
Third, customer service was ok, not great, but ok.

Pros: This app gave me one price and I paid 10 times that. A true bate and switch. The app said 14 $ a day. It was 4 days for 370$ that is not 14 a dad.
The agent canceled my resevertion made with this app said she could get me a better deal.
Anyway it sucked. A car is a car, only difference is the cost, service is all the same where ever you go.

Cons: I did pay only what was quoted me but upon pickup the sales agent tried to get me to add on several other fees and explained them poorly. Notably there fee for using their service for tolls was explained the worst. Already stressed out from traveling I spent the first day terrified that I would be paying more than anticipated for my rental.

Pros: Car was as expected
Cons: The total estimated price was 223 USD. I hired the car insurance that covered 40K USD so I was quite confident that the price they gave me was the correct one.
Once you are in the airport, they said that the mandatory insurances were not added to the price, nor were the different taxes and --according to the lady- neither was the toll pass, which wasn't mandatory but needed. Total 500 USD.
I will never go back to Advantage and I will strongly discourage anyone considering it,

DIS-Advantage: I will NOT be a repeat customer.
Pros: The rental was just what I expected - the right type of vehicle, clean, etc.
Cons: The rental process was a nightmare. First, Advantage had decided to close for the evening (before 7:00 pm), which meant that they herded you over to partner E-Z Rent-a-Car where the experience went from bad to worse. When I arrived there were six customers in line - when I finally departed 50 minutes later, there were an unlucky 25 behind me with only two agents working the desk. One of the two agents, with people waiting in line for 30+ minutes, declared, "It's time for my break" and proceeded to go to a room behind the desk but within eyesight of the customers in line and causally eat a snack or dinner. In this case, for the first time ever, if I could give less than a "1" for customer service. I will NOT be a repeat customer.

Cons: I had reserved a full-size car. When I arrived, they had no vehicles available except a minivan. I have only rented from Advantage a few times but not sure if the great price is worth the hassle.

Cons: I arrived for a reservation at 6:00am and there were no cars available. I was the 15th person since 1:00am that had no car for their reservation. On top of everything, my car was reserved for an extra week longer than my original reservation and I was told I would have to pay for 8 days instead of one even though my receipts only showed they were to charge me one day. Management was not available and then showed up to work late. I finally contacted my credit card company so they would not fraudulently charge me $390 dollars! Horrible experience after flying for 12 hrs during the night.

Pros: Car was very fuel efficient and easy to drive.
Cons: Our car was not cleaned very well, especially the back seat. You could see where someone had spilled something and it wasn't cleaned up properly and the seat was a little sticky.
Our car also had a horrible noise/vibration at 50+mph, which got worse over the time we had the car.

Not what we asked for
Pros: We specifically asked for SUV like a Suburban. We called the day before pick up to confirm that because we were transporting a couple of pieces of antique furniture to a family member in Oregon. And were told all ok. Called again before pick we called to reconfirm told all is good. Size was key. On pick up we were give a small SUV Smaller by 12 inches in it's length. Avis was unappolagetic for this. This required us to braked down 3 boxes that were going on the trip and some how find room in the SUV before we could proceed with our trip.

Slow pick up-fast drop off
Pros: The return process was quick and easy. Parked, had an AVIS rep with me immediately. Got the receipt. On the bus to the terminal.
Cons: The pickup process was painful. The line was 15 deep when I joined. To their credit, the counter people worked quickly. Thirty minutes at the counter. Much longer than I would like.

Great car and price horrible customer service!!
Pros: The car was clean and easy to drive. The price was excellent.
Cons: The person handling the drop off was absurdly rude and actually blocked in my rental with another vehicle got out of the vehicle and yelled at me. I was so upset. This person should be fired immediately.

Pros: I appreciated the ease of online scheduling.
Cons: I did not like the lack of flexibility using this service caused me; I would have been better off to go the rental car agency itself as the incurred cost, for LESS time was the same.

Experience was good until I got the receipt
Pros: Picking up the van was pretty easy. The car was great for what we needed.
Cons: When I got the receipt, they charged $250 for some pet hair in the vehicle. I called customer service and they said pets were allowed in the vehicle but pet hair was not in the normal wear and tear and refused to remove the fee.

Last minute deal
Pros: I am very please to said there is a positive change at Avis compare to the services I received 5 years ago.
Pros: I gave National a poor review because their final credit card charge was twice what I had reserved the car for. I will now have to go through the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company. I spent a lot of time researching companies, vehicles and prices as I was looking for a one way rental. Now I have to spend even more time getting the price honored.

National saved our day!
Pros: We had booked with Payless, VERY horrible service. And then desperately needed two large vehicles. Malik was so nice he immediately took us out to show us what they had available, offered great prices, and wrapped up our reservation quickly. Thank you SO much Malik!!

Ok BUIT Could Have been BETTER or GREAT!!
Pros: The Shuttle Van was the 15 seat we needed and Little extra space. Good on Fuel as well.
Cons: The Insurance needed to cover the 15 Passenger Van was not enough to cover so i had to get additional Coverage$$$ Also there was a Safety issue with one of the seats did not have a belt buckle locking clip? Was missing so that had caused some discomfort to couple of passengers due to Sharp edges had caused some cuts and small lacerations on 3 passengers.
