Have alternate routes ready in bad weather -- multiple accidents closed BOTH lanes of I-20 leading to very lengthy delays. If I knew my way around better (and if my maps apps weren't so confused) I'd have driven around them better.

Alamo had National run the counter. National's customer service was terrible. Separately, Kayak further should notify customers they must have a credit card NOT a debit card to rent a car if returning to a location that is not the pickup location. This negatively impacted my experience with KAYAK such that I cannot trust their services when critical details get skipped.

David convinced me that he was there to guarantee my satisfaction: The car presented was not to my satisfaction owing to MY in competence. Van was dirty inside and out so went to car wash. Someone prior had an animal that salava was over windows and drool on seats and also hair. My charge was $182 and in error Budget charged my credit card $732. When calling Budget they escalated issue and came back and told me the only charged the $182 but my credit card showed the $732 was paid. I had to open a dispute with credit card company and I sent my Budget receipt and email that stated the charged only $182. It was after I did that I was able to get the $549 credit back to my card.
