Pros:The rooms were clean and cozy.
Cons:Accessing the location was a bit difficult, and the exterior hallway leading to the rooms reminded me of a scary movie.

Pros:Close to BUR, transport starts at 5:30 AM--but I was bumped to 5:45 despite confirmation, apparently because another traveler had a 5:30 slot. The transportation service is contracted out. The van was there at 5:40. Light traffic for the few miles. Courtesy was everywhere. .
Cons:Middle of nowhere. Only meal source is a Jack in the Box across a major intersection. Staff told me "restaurants" etc about a mile away at a mall. I walked (car or Uber necessary) about 2/3rd miles and found a local but very good Mexican 50s-60s decor overhead fluorescent bar restaurant specializing in seafood. The selection was great (half dozen fresh oysters on the half shell $16/dozen), hot/cold seafood soups + just fine homemade fare. "Costa Azul."

Pros:You get what you pay for. I made a reservation last minute due to it being the cheapest option. The room itself was alright but the exterior looked so dirty I was almost uncomfortable staying there. To add to that notion, I then came across a man in the elevator who then followed me around and waited outside my room for the weekend I was there. Super creepy, and I left early after that. I won't be going back.

Pros:Nothing was positive.
Cons:This was the worst ever. I requested a non-smoking room so they gave me a smelly room with an adjoining door next to a chain smoker. The room was filthy, sink leaked, shower dripped constantly, wall paper was missing in the bathroom, holes in the comforter, HVAC was so noisy it would keep you awake. The location is awful with noise from I-5 and the Metrolink trains blowing the horn everytime they go by, which is often. The breakfast was awful. The room was the size of a closet, the eggs and sausage were thrown in a warming tray still frozen. I went to heat them up in the microwave to find it was filthy with food and water all over the inside from someone else. Lastly, I was refused a receipt when I left because it would be e-mailed to me by Expedia. I told the clerk I didn't go through Expedia and he argued with me. I asked again for a receipt and he flat refused to give me one. Really? I will not stay in a Quality Inn property in the future because of this experience. I should have slept in my rental car instead. Atleast I had a receipt for that to turn in with my expense report.

Cons:I had a dead battery on my car as I was leaving for the Amtrac station in Del Mar to travel to Burbank. Missed the train by 5 minutes. Amtrac didn't have a later train that could get me there and was kind enough to give me a full refund. Quality Inn was not so accommodating and charged me the full price of the room because they have a stricter refund policy when the reservation is made through Hotels.com. They require 24 hours advance for a cancellation. I don't plan on using Kayak, Hotels.com or Quality Inn again. The small saving in room rate (if there was one) is not worth the risk of loosing the entire booking amount.
