Location is great, walking distance to everything but in a more upscale area so out of the chaos of La Rambla.

Cons: The decor was a bit weird. The bathtub/shower sill was far too high and was dangerous (we were traveling with an architect and we are convinced that this height does not meet code). In addition, the gym was very poor. They only had a few machines and 2 of them were broken.

Pros: Located in the heart of luxury shopping area, one block from Gaudi's two residential masterpieces on Passeig de Gracia (Le Pedrera and Casa Battalo are a one minute walk away, one to the left, one to the right). There is a 24-hr 'pharmacy' w/in 1/2 a block, and the on-off tourist busses stop adjacent to Le Pedrera (red line). Every person who worked at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. (Happily held our luggage until a room was ready, gave us access to their beautiful breakfast/lounge ((we declined breakfast as we wanted to start touring a sap but it was truly a 4-star spread, like a Ritz Carlton or similar class.) ROOFTOP BAR IS AMAZING - try a Martin Miller Gin Tonic (one of 8 different gin tonics offered), 360 degree view with glass "roof" will stun you), tapas list was great. ROOM was modern, blow your mind luxurious. Our 20' balcony faced the street (rm 901 has floor to ceiling glass with a huge balcony and electric blinds... The wall above our king size bed was also glass, all the way to the ceiling creating a 6x8' glass wall 'headboard' which also created a wall of glass above the tub in the bath room, letting the spectacular view and light flood into the entire bathroom, with a electric shade if you wanted to lower it....). I seldom photograph a room, but I tried this time because it was so spectacular. Great robes, slippers, nespresso machine, huge glass shower. We absolutely loved it - would love to move in forever.
Cons: I hated to have to leave and hope to go back for a longer stay. Note - this area is totally safe 24 hours a day and this would be a GREAT place for a woman travelling alone - this is a GREAT location. Entire staff, EVERY person, went out of their way to delight you.

Pros: Staff was very pleasant. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in so we chose to upgrade to a bigger room. The room, however, reeked of smoke so we went back and complained. They immediately changed us to another room. The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and shopping centers. Public transportation is a block away. Breakfast is excellent. There is a rooftop pool and bar with a great view.
Cons: The bathroom lacks racks and hookscto hang wet towels and clothes. TV has limited English channels. Limited electric outlet for US plugs so bring adapters.

Pros: We checked in with Daniel in the front, who was AMAZING. He is so sweet, attentive, and adorable. We couldn't stop talking about what a gem he is. He gave us tipa for our stay, offered to print out our tickets to La sagrada familia, which were ready for us as soon as we went downstairs. We really enjoyed the customer service here it was the best received in our entire trip in Spain.

There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

Pros: We stayed here for 4 night. Love almost everything.. Good location- away from clouded area. You can still feel local people daily basis, Very clean, modern, and comfy bed. Around $30 taxi ride to the hotel so don't bother with airport bus but you still have choice with train and bus of course with cheaper. We paid more than $100 a night plus tax and fee but unfortunate not include breakfast... That's kinda disappointing but well.. Maybe something you can check with the hotel when u make a booking.

Al llegar; baño estancado y caja fuerte sin funcionar hasta la mañana siguiente el problema no fue solucionado porque solo cuentan con un chico de mantenimiento para todo el hotel el cual solo trabaja de mañanas. Durante nuestras 3 noches de estancia nuestra habitación tan solo fue "limpiada" una mañana. ( cambio de toallas y cama MAL hecha). Al llegar al hotel a las 3PM y ver que nuestra habitación seguía sin hacer llamè y llamé y llamé ( lo digo así porque hasta que te cogen el teléfono es mejor bajar y ponerte a la cola lenta e infinita) y llamé y llamé a recepción y de muy malas formas me contestaron que primero se hacían las habitaciones de check out y a continuación las de huéspedes que continúan su estancia XD!!!!! LOOOOOOL ósea se , que si te quedas en el hotel por más de una noche olvídate de que te limpien. Desayuno en el hotel: 2 zumos de naranja y un sándwich 25 EUROS!!! ni en el Burj Al Arab de Dubai ( hotel de 7*) te cobran esa barbaridad. JAMÁS recomendaría este hotel, aún está MUY lejos de poder ser un 4*SUP , un hotel sin personal suficiente ni cualificado a precios desorbitados y trato horrible hasta tal punto que deseas que tu estancia llegue a su fin lo antes posible.

We had not enough towels once and not enough brush glasses throughout our stay. The mastresses are too old. I had a backache for 2 days !!!

Pros: Clean spacious rooms, clean linens. Quiet part of town. Close to the beach.
Cons: Hot tub was broken for the entire five days we were there. Pool was freezing cold, and staff refused to switch on the heater... saying they never heat their pool in October for any reason. They offered no form of compensation. Be warned - if something is wrong with your stay, the staff here is NOT empowered to anything about it.

Pros: This hotel really worth it. So good room, clean, comfortable, big beautiful and with amazing views. The Spa is good enough, you have all you need. The breakfast is the best buffet I have ever seen. Quality 100% and quantity. The 15th floor is really comfortable, quiet and with amazing views too. Free catering. The staff is really nice and polite. They try their best to make you feel as good as possible.
Cons: Nothing special.
