Pros: Immediately upon arrival it was clear the staff was terrific and committed to giving excellent customer service. The owners are so nice and helpful, and really made sure that we enjoyed our time in Bangkok and at the hotel. Get a room with a monument view. Absolutely worth it. The view of Wat Arun from our room is stunning. We have two balconies, which is nice. There are chairs and an ash tray, if you smoke, and it's a nice place to overlook the river. The decor is very unique and was a huge part of the appeal The location can't be beat - right next to Wat Pho, The Grand Palace, and a short river crossing from Wat Arun. Walking distance to Thai Museum. Breakfast included, was delicious. Refreshing welcome drink on arrival. Free wifi. Helpful map given.
Cons: It was a bit difficult for our cab driver to find the hotel. Maybe it would have been easier just to say Wat Pho, and then find the place by sight with the driver, or walk the last little bit yourself. There is no elevator and the stairs are steep. Just something to note if that may be a problem for you.

Pros: The room is starting to look dated, and the laminate flooring is swelling after a water leak from the bathroom, making the main door more difficult to open. We had an issue with our room safe, but this was quickly resolved by the reception staff, I was fortunate to be staying with my Thai partner, so language was not an issue.

Cons: The hotel is locate at the heart of the backpacking district in Bangkok, and although this is very convenient for those who are looking to party and then head to their room, you must know that the noise is this hotel is almost unbearable. Take higher up floors and with rooms facing the back of the hotel, otherwise you’ll feel that your bed is in the middle of a club.
