Outstanding boutique hotel in Toronto
From the moment you arrive, you are aware you are in a special place. The understated luxury and the attentive but discrete staff mean you can enjoy your stay in the knowledge everything you need is at your fingertips while enjoying as much privacy as you need. The wood-paneled design theme is carried through the hotel from the lobby to your room, which is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Do ask for a quiet room though as the noise of Toronto's condo construction boom can interrupt the tranquility in some areas (a problem not unique to Le Germain). But the hotel has even thought of that. It helpfully provides ear plugs in the bedrooms for those who are sleep-challenged. It's just one of the many little and big touches that make this hotel an oasis in the entertainment district of Canada's largest city, just a short distance from Toronto's island airport served by the Porter airline.
1. Super staff who don't get "in your face" 2. Understated charm of hotel with thoughtful design touches 3. FantastIc bedrooms with plenty of space (judging by our room) 4. Convenient location in Toronto's downtown theatre district and close to waterfront
Le Germain Hotel Toronto is a contemporary property that is ideally located near the Princess of Wales Theatre. There is one dining option on site called Victor. This restaurant serves two meals per day: lunch and dinner. There is also a bar area where guests can enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine. There is valet service offered for those that have arrived via their own vehicle. Guests can make use of the 24-hour room service and the free continental breakfast that is served daily. Plus, there are coffee and tea offered in the common areas. Bicycle rentals and kayaking are available nearby, and the hotel offers concierge services to help facilitate your stay. Staff members can offer assistance in Chinese, English, Filipino, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, and Urdu.
There are 123 guestrooms spread over 11 floors, and the entire property is 100% smoke-free. Rooms are equipped with espresso machines and a minibar. The beds are made up with premium bedding and down comforters. Hypoallergenic bedding is available for those that require it. The private bathrooms have deep soaking tubs and rainfall showerheads, and they are stocked with designer toiletries. The rooms also have refrigerators available for guest convenience.
Those staying at the Le Germain Hotel Toronto will be in walking distance of the Royal Alexandra Theatre, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and the CN Tower. Also nearby is the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada and the Harbourfront Centre. The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is less than 10 minutes from the hotel.
