Cons: The car was over the top technical. Too many bells and whistles.

First class servicePros: The customer service was brilliant. Real people. I had a minor problem with a tyre and was attended to quickly by the AA and Kwikfit. The staff at Chipping Sodbury, particularly Alex was wonderful. Well done Enterprise!Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Great service - very clear about documentation needed. Free upgrade. Great car - though hired over Xmas period so probably quite expensive comparatively.Cons: Had to fill up oil two days into hire period
Pros: Pickup in Bristol was excellent. Very friendly staff; provided an extremely nice car and the price and value were great. Car was a hybrid so hardly even took gas.Cons: LHR is pretty closed down so it was kind of hard to find my way from the drop off rental location to the airport hotel.

Insurance not included!Cons: Whenever I have pre booked previously, basic insurance has always been included. I was told this had recently changed and was no longer the case. Disappointed that my pre booked price was not what I paid in the end! Had to leave earlier than anticipated to avoid paying two days insurance, instead of one. You need to spell this out when people are booking!
Epic driving weekend in a nice Clio :)Pros: Loved that I got a super great car to drive around, great staff to deal with (even with me a little emotional picking the car up--lost my bank card!) But we dealt with it well,, and away I went for the weekend :) Car was clean, tidy very easy and simple to drive. Staff were polite and made it very easy to do, out and back in again.Cons: That I couldnt pay the deposit with cash. But that's okay, it got sorted
Pros: Staff great.Cons: It wasn't made clear during the booking process that this was through the US site and didn't include collision waiver (as this is normally included with US credit cards). Upon arrival for pickup it was requested that we pay an additional £12/day for this insurance as we were paying with a UK credit card which didn't have this cover. This should have been identified during the booking process to forewarn or prevent non-US clients from booking on the site.

Pros: The car was fineCons: There was a lot of confusion as to booking on an American site. They don’t take the insurance so that money was wasted! You should know that! Very poor communication between kayak and the UK rentals

Pros: At pick up the agent was pushing the insurance unsuccessfully, but drop-off was quick and easy and friendly. Good rental.

Easy peasyPros: Ease of pick up at Exeter Airport (though this is a tiny airport so I was expecting this). We had a great Mini 500. I have my own excess policy so can dodge those charges. Drop off in Bristol was equally smooth.Cons: The drop off fee to a different location is beyond all logistical costs so seems excessive. To counter we insured only one driver as the additional was also v expensive considering I'm covering all excess.

I chose passât class, I got vauxhallPros: bluetooth hands free was important isofix child seats fixturesCons: I ordered passat class, i expected passat or better the ride was numb the interior was drab the rear windows were manual, the children kept opening them up! 2 adults, 2 children and a boot full of suitcases the engine struggled
Cons: The company had no presence at the airport. Had great difficulty finding their office. The various add-ons to the supposedly "low price" made their price not competitive. Cancelled the car and went elsewhere.
Unable to rent carPros: They said they would cancel with no fees.Cons: I was not told I needed a return airline ticket in order to rent a car.

Easirent Is BadCons: Rude aggressive staff, looking hungrily for extra charges. Over an hour to get a car.

Car was OK, 1 hour wait + tank half full at pickupCons: We had to wait for a long time to have the gentleman who man's the rental station at the hotel near Bristol airport to come in, and left almost an HOUR after we got to the hotel! Car tank was only HALF full. I was charged an extra 30 POUNDS for gas that was not disclosed to me at Kayak rental PLUS another amount for liability insurance that the gentleman at counter said was required by law. I had purchased Kayak insurance already and was surprised that I had to pay this extra. And now there a further $68 charge on my credit card account from Easirent for what, I have no idea!!!

For travelers not used to driving on the other side of the road, it is recommended to rent a satnav with the car, as it will help show which direction to go. Following the drivers ahead of you can also help, especially when entering a roundabout (remember to go clockwise) or intersection.
During rush hour, Bristol’s streets can be congested, so try to avoid going out between 7 and 9 am and 5-8 pm, if possible. Also pay attention to speed limit signs (on the left side of the road), as speed limits change quite often inside the city from 20 mph zones to 30 mph, for instance.
