Pros (+) I loved this hotel and the staff! I was In Santorini years ago and stayed at a hotel inland and when I came back this time I had high hopes of staying in a cave type room overlooking the caldera and after months of research I found Ilioperato and it lived up to my dream! The views are beautiful, you can walk to Fira in 30 min along a beautiful pedestrian walk way, the hotel is lovely and the staff...
Cons (-) The bed was a bit hard and the bedroom was a bit dark but it's a cave so I think part of the charm. I would definitely stay again!

Pros (+) The location was the best we saw as it is connected to Imerovigli yet is right on the edge making less foot traffic and noise. Easy access to anything we needed yet away from the crowds. Incredible view (though anywhere along the caldera is nice). The staff is also incredibly nice, welcoming, and accomadating. They made us feel very welcome. And their breakfasts were a definite highlite!
Cons (-) The room we received was not the one pictured on the site which threw us off on our arrival. And our first night we had very noisy neighbours which were definitely noticable (thankfully they left the next morning and we did not have any other issues with noise)
