The hotel is in a great part of town - central to everything. It has quite a history, so be sure to ask the concierge about it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was memorable.
It was costly - and worth every penny.
I loved the price we got for the room and it was smaller than in pictures cause that’s just what pictures do and everything in San Francisco is smaller than from where I’m from. The double windows for the corner room was everything.
Well the website said there was complimentary breakfast but apparently they don’t do it anymore even tho some of the sites say it does. But it’s cool.
Lovely old, but well looked after building, friendly staff, walking distance to Union Square, cable car, public transport. Found parking for $35 per day just around the corner. Room was comfortable, good view on tenth floor, price was reasonable comparatively.
Very minor comment - Coffee was provided in room but no milk/creamer, however there was hot tea and creamer (would prefer milk personally) in the lobby in the mornings. I wish they had told me that on arrival as we went out and bought milk!
Front desk crew were very helpful, courteous, and provided great service. We appreciated having our room upgraded for a better view without even requesting it.
The only problem was the lamp in our room was not plugged into the wall so we had poor lighting until we figured it out. Then we had to move the bed to get the outlet.
The bed super comfy- and staff is extremely nice.
