Agent was more interested in his phone than helping me. Vehicle was not on the lot .... could not be found. Went back into talk to agent, and he just handed me another set of keys. I asked for new paperwork, and he reluctantly gave it to me. Second vehicle was not in area I was told, was blue and not gray (which would have helped in locating it). Asked a few questions like, if I return the car early, will I get a refund on days unused, etc and agent could not/would not answer. Was not impressed. Not. One. Bit.

Very rude lady @ counter Had to wait for keys of limited invintory then she gave me standard sedan instead of full size as i had done thru Fastbreak Had to return car next day to get correct car i paid for

More invintory & lower prices Helpful staff instead of bad attitudes

Car had a shake at highway speeds. There was no windshield washer fluid. Front window was dirty. Paper floor mats left in car. Sanitized sticker left in cup holder.

After my plane was delayed, Hertz decided to give my reserved car away to other people as there was a large conference in town that week. Ended up costing me $500 for an Uber to get to my destination because no other company had cars either. Lady at the counter was useless and made no effort to help me.

Pick up, drop off went smoothly, easily. Got a pretty good rate

Cons:

My car was in bad need of a balancing or alignment. I had to constantly work to keep it from pulling left.

I requested full size I was told there were none but I saw Nissan Altima in parking lot when I arrived & when I left Instead I was given dirty Nissan Rogue that I had to clean & wash myself as soon as I left

Pros:

Staff at Midland and Harlingen were both very friendly and attentive. Vehicle was clean and provided a very comfortable ride. Drop-off at Harlingen was super easy; just provided ending mileage, parking location and keys and I was on my way. Receipt emailed to me. Will definitely use National again for future rentals.

Cons:

Everything was great.

Very helpful employee at pick up, who advised me to "just park anywhere" on return. Great advice, because the return lot was crazy, no enterprise)national/Alamo slots left. I parked in Budget without a worry. The check in person complimented me on my resourcefulness. Nice SUV

Vehicle had a nail in the tire and cracked windshield. Exterior cleanliness was below par. Interior was spotless.

The attendant there when I first arrived was annoyed that I would disrupt her free time with my business. Very rude and not hospitable at all. The attendant upon my return was the opposite. Very nice and easy to work with. The vehicle had a broken AC vent but other than that the vehicle was ok.

Could not rent with a debit card from the airport without a flight itinerary. Was not made aware of that on this site and spent roughly $33 on an Uber. Lack of information is truly disappointing and I will use a different service from now on.

It smelled like cigarettes and had a flat tire they tried to tell me I had to pay to fix. Then charged me a fuel charge after I filled the truck up
