Overview

In the heart of the Presqu'Ile, the narrow peninsula between the Rhone and the Saone, the Best Western Saint Antoine, Lyon, France, occupies an 18th-century house, renewed to add modern comfort to its old stone, fully air-conditioned and soundproofed throughout. The setting brings work, culture, shopping, and gastronomy together within a few streets, close to the Opera, the Theatre des Celestins, and the luxury shops of the business district, with the Renaissance lanes of Vieux-Lyon just beyond. A thoughtful team is on hand to help make the most of the quarter. From the door, the great square of Place Bellecour, the footbridges over the rivers, the cinemas and cabarets, and the bouchons of the rue Merciere are all close, with the city's two rivers meeting just to the south. Museums, riverside quays, and the Fourviere hill all lie within easy reach, and Lyon's gastronomy, its capital pride, is reason enough to come hungry.

Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's central location, making it convenient for exploring the city and accessing restaurants and attractions. Many reviewers highlighted the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms, especially those that had been recently renovated. While some guests found the rooms small or dated, others appreciated the spaciousness of certain accommodations. Opinions on value for price were mixed, with some guests feeling it was reasonable and others less satisfied. Ongoing renovations and the temporary lack of breakfast were noted, but did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience for most guests.
