Lack of room service
Nice little hotel. We had a 2-bed apartment which was very clean and cute, and had a private hot tub which was a nice touch. Breakfast was decent and though we didn’t eat dinner here, it looked good.
The 2-bed apartment was quite small and felt cramped with 5 people. They also didn’t have bathrobes/ slippers or any toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, dental kit etc) in the rooms but had them in reception, which was a bit strange. It meant every time we looked for something that you would normally have in a hotel (eg shampoo) and didn’t find it, we had to walk to reception to get it!? Why not have this in the room like all other hotels? And they didn’t have any body lotion or shower gel - which I would expect them to have in a 4-star hotel.
Perfect location. rooms were comfortable
the beds were WAY small.
The staff at the hotel were great and their was a small bistro that was open late which was convenient.
The facilities were the worst of the 7 hotels we stayed at in Iceland. Their is a main office, with separate portable type buildings where the rooms are - think temporary work camp. The biggest issue is the lack of any soundproofing, we were surrounded on three sides with the noise from other guests and their tvs.
Superb location for exploring the South of Iceland.
