Pros:Car was clean and easy to use, although white isn't ideal when you're driving through the Estonian countryside...
Cons:We ended up paying more than what was announced of the booking confirmation because the insurance we purchased through Kayak was allegedly not enough/valid. The car rental itself was already more than announced, and we had to add extra insurance on top. So we went from 109€ to 200€. And they only accept credit cards. I didn't have one and given how disappointed we were already regarding the changes in prices, the person we were dealing with accepted to make an exception and use my Visa. I also found out to my expense (quite literally) that the 400€ deposit transaction wasn't cleared, meaning I have to wait for it to expire to get it back, which takes 2 weeks. The money for the rental went out on top of the deposit, meaning I ended up having 600e coming out of my account (rental + deposit). Bad experience overall. We've rented cars before and never had this kind of issue. So would assume Hertz are just not great to deal with.
Some Tartu car providers already include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection Waiver into the hire price but not all of them. We recommend always be aware of your coverage when hiring a car in Tartu.
Keep in mind that car hire insurances often have a deductible clause, which is the amount you’ll have to pay if something happens during the time of your hire. If you want to avoid unwanted surprises, you should consider adding a no-deductible option to your Tartu car hire.
