Make sure you look at a few quotes and the reviews. On paper Alamo cost more. But, then my sister also rented a car from another company for the same weekend and it was significantly more expensive than mine. But, all the customer service folks at the car rental counters were really great. Helpful and communicative. I had an early morning flight out and I was worried about drop off. But, it was fast and easy. There was someone there I handed the keys to at 4am on a Sunday. So, that was also great.

Ford escape lacked acceleration and seated comfort. I wiped steering wheel, doors, and console down and cloth was quite dirty.

The pickup process was not good. Budget was the only company with a wait at Little Rock airport and it was long. There were two extra staff, but they did not help the one person working the counter. It was silly and took well over an hour to get a car.

Price doesn’t come out to be what is advertised/secured through reservation. Upselling is confusing and not properly explained.

Cons:

Car I reserved was not available. So I could wait or settle for a Van. Not a fan of the mini vans, but took it so I didn't have to wait.

They didn’t have the booked vehicle or anything comparable. Wanted me to upcharge to a luxury suv that didn’t even fit our needs. Sent us to a different location that didn’t have one either. Gave us a complete run around. After about 6.5 hours trying to track down a car, we finally found one with budget. Enterprise was incredibly nonchalant about nearly ruining the first family trip we’ve taken in 7 years. Will absolutely never use them again.

I was very disappointed because when I picked the car I specifically asked for the insurance, as I always do when renting a car. They told me it was added but I don’t pay attention when initializing and signing the contract. Unfortuanately I had a minor accident when parking the car when I returned the car. Then they told me I didn’t have insurance.

Cons:

The people at the Hertz facility could have been a little nicer. I called to change my reservation, ensured it was changed, go to the location and they had no recollection of the new reservation time. There were no cars available and therefore had to wait until my original time to pick up the car. They offered no apologies for my inconvenience on their behalf and were very rude about the whole situation. Will be going with Enterprise from now on.

It was a Tuesday. None of the car rental agencies had cars at 10:00pm. NONE. Only by sheer luck did one come in and I got out of there. Dont fly into LR and expect a car. I booked well in advance FYI

It was honestly one of the easiest car rental experiences in my life of travel. Flying into Hot Springs I knew it was a small airport. But, it was really easy to get to and from terminal from rental counters. My only critique, and this critique applies to a lot of airports, there needs to be better signage indicators. I took a wrong turn on my way off the flight to the rental car counters. That’s not on Alamo. But, perhaps they have some influence with that.

The truck as a whole was very nice and preformed very well.

Cons:

Taken the truck through a car wash and filled the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. After using the windshield wiper fluid twice it alerted that it was in need of a refill.

We ordered and paid for a GPS. We discovered about an hour away from the airport that it did not have GPS. I called Avis but they had no GPS units available unless I went to a major airport. Now, I have submitted a complaint to Avis and there has been no response. We got lost many times!!!

I GOT E-MAIL TELLING ME TO PICK UP AT McCAIN MALL AND REYURN IT THERE I CALLED NEXT DAY AND ASK WHY PERSON ON THE PH SAID OUT OF CARS AT AIRPORT I ASK HOW DO I GET TO THE MALL HE SAID TAKE A CAB WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR WHEN I GOT TO THE AIRPORT AND GOT MY BAG ON THE WAY TO THE CAB I PASSED A LINE WITH SEVERAL AVIS !CARS! GOT TO THE MALL AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A !CAR! THE ONLY THING THE HAD WAS A 12!PASANGER! !VAN! SO THATS WHAT I TOOK WAS THAT GAS GUZZLER WHEN I RETURN THE !VAV!
