Cons: Shuttle to rental location ran late, line at rental was long, the employee's attitude was poor, had to wait fir vehicle to be cleaned inside and out.Computers were down too.

Nickel and dime
Pros: Initial price
Cons: The pre-inspection was so detailed as to include each paint chip on the front bumper; which led me to suspect Dollar would charge me for normal wear and tear such as rock chips encountered during normal driving, a fact confirmed by the management when I asked for clarification.
The vehicle was not close to the vehicle type I selected; this location doesn't even use sedans.
The pre-inspection was so unlike any rental experience I've had in the last 20 years that I cancelled my rental, which led to another painful episode, as the staff was unable to process the refund. A manager processed a refund and emailed it to me a couple hours later.
All in all, this rental experience cost me 2.5 hours when one counts the wait to be picked up from the airport, the wait to pay for the rental, the ridiculous inspection, the failed refund, and the ride back to the airport.
I eventually rented from Budget at the airport for $150 more than the Dollar reservation.
The low rental fee was too good to be true, shame on me for not reading reviews ahead of making a reservation.

Pros: NO problems all was smooth, I just don't give anyone an excellent rating unless they blow my socks off!

Service was well below average; did not have reque
Pros: Gave me an upgraded car (although smaller than what was originally requested) at the same price
Cons: Did not get the type of car requested - ended up with smaller sports car - which would have been nice, but was traveling as family of 5 so barely fit.
Checking out was incredibly frustrating - location was offsite from the airport, took 20 minutes for shuttle to arrive and then another 50 minutes to get the car as they were backed up and for some reason, took 20 minutes per customer to complete a transaction.

Pros: It was very unpleasant because I needed the car to go to Massachusetts for the Holidays and when I got there I came to find out I could not get the car because ofb where I was going... so with that been said I had to go to Budget and rent a car that was not what I wanted but I had no choice because I needed the car to head out the next day on Friday.
Pros: - Extreme friendliness of staff.
- Ability to change payment method upon return.

If you cancel you lose!
Cons: I had to cancel this reservation 2 days before travel as I was very sick. I was told that the money was NOT refundable. I should have never used this search engine and should have booked directly with Hertz. Never again!!

Pros: The quick process of dropping off the vehicle.
Cons: The interior of the vehicle was in horrendous condition. Third row had stains and candy stuck to the seat. The cup holders all had some syrupy goo in them and there was and awful stench in the vehicle.

Cons: The first car they gave me had a crack in the windshield, but I was quickly given a new car
Pros: The guy in the front desk was very polite and quick.
Cons: I didn't like the economy car it was very uncomfortable for a long drive. (Ford Fiesta) I was going to be late like 30 minutes for the drop off so i called customer service and the total price went from $67 to like $104. Wow shocker really expensive, I could've got another day!!

Car needed work done to it that made my trip harde

Cons: The wiper fluid was not only empty but didn't work when it was filled & with snowy/wet road conditions I had to pull over every few miles to clean my windshield. The "get your oil changed soon" notification was also on when I got my car... yes, the interior of the car was comfortable, but these nags didn't make for smooth sailing... it was disappointing.
Pros: The Hyundai Elantra was an excellent car in very good running condition.
Cons: Pick-up in Greenville was very, very slow. The agent was distracted and inefficient. Rest room was out of commission.

Courteous and friendly staff but car was dirty
Pros: Car had no fuel when I picked it up but the staff refueled it for me and allowed me to return it without filling it back up.
When I noticed the pet hair I called the rental location to advised them and they placed a note in the rental agreement that I would not be responsible.
No hassles upon returning the car despite the 2 snags when I picked it up.
Staff was very courteous.
Cons: - When I went to pick up the car it had no fuel.
- Signs on the counter saying that there will be a $150 fine if the car is found to have pet hair or ashes. after getting home and folding the back seats down to pack the car, pet hair all over the floor.
- car was generally not very clean on the inside (outside was very clean).

Would not rent vehicle
Cons: Policy did not allow me to rent the vehicle bc I was from another state.
Cons: Counter Rep stated that if I did not purchase the Road-Side assistance (from Thrifty), that Thrifty would not come out and pick upithe rental car if it had a mechanical breakdown (that was not a result of driver error). If that is true, then I will not rent from Thrifty again. If that is false, then Thrifty has a dishonest counter rep that should be reprimanded or fired.

Not at the airport!! Discriminates against debit c
Pros: This place is listed as being at the airport. After looking for 15-20 mins another car rental agent told me I had to call them. They literally come pick you up with a shuttle and drive you 2 miles down the road. I only use debit and with thrifty you have to pay an extra $20 per day for insurance even if you already have insurance just because of debit card. Once I got the car it smelled like someone had used drugs in it. Returned the car the same day and was told I had been refunded but 4 days later and haven't seen refund yet. They use cheap prices to lure you to them and once your there (2 miles from airport) you have no choice but to use them or waste time riding all the way back to the airport.
I never write reviews but this "experience" needed to be reviewed.
On a good note the staff are nice and helpful and realized the policies were bs. They are nice folks so they probably hate working there and having to enforce these ridiculous rules.
