Cons (-) Internet speed was too slow to go online and load any pages. I also could not watch YouTube or upload my photos from my phone to my computer. Internet speed should be much faster to keep up with other hotels and even hostels.
Pros (+) I enjoyed the front desk guy and enjoyed the room quality, location and everything really.
Cons (-) It wasn't perfectly cleaned, the parking is very limited, and it was a bit expensive.
Pros (+) This property is an older motel on a busy street that has been completely remodeled and updated. They have done so with great attention to detail and have stylishly created a space that feels like a quaint Latin American Village. Pros (+) Although my room was small, it had been updated. The bathroom was recently updated with nicer fixtures. The grounds, although small, were well-tended and a respite from the typical motel fare. This is just across the street from Gelson's market and less than a mile from the La Cumbre Mall, so it's close to shopping and not far from Downtown Santa Barbara. Cons (-) My room was fairly close to State Street, so I did start to hear traffic around 7am. If you're a light sleeper or like to sleep in you might want to get a room near the back of the motel.
