Pick-up and drop-off was a fairly simple process.

Cons:

When we received our car, the tire pressure light was on. We connected with an employee who filled the tires with air. When finished, the light was still on, but the employee said that "it's because the tires need some time to warm up" (it had snowed two days in a row previously). We had a car for a total of three days and two nights. The tire pressure light never turned off. I wish the employee had taken more care to look into the issue and/or escalate the matter so that we could receive a new car.

when you get to Budget office in East Elmhurst you have to wait 90 mins for the line and their is something called Fast track but budget never told us what it was about you have to wait in line feels like a third world country

I have gotten good fares w Budget with the option for free cancellation. Sadly, there are never enough Budget reps to process customers. I usually have to wait at least 30 minutes in line to get my car. SADLY, my experience is EVERY budget car smells like smoke.

JFK Pickup had a long wait time (about 90 minutes). Understanding that the rental was during the Thanksgiving holiday and in a very congested area, I was not upset with the wait time, however if there were more employees at the desk the wait time could have been much shorter. Overall the experience was great and the car was very clean and no issues. Returning at Charlotte airport was very easy.

The day that I arrived there was a shortage of cars at Thrifty, which caused a significant delay for everyone getting their rentals. This was due to an earlier weeks earthquake in New York. Although this was dissapointing as I could not leave for my destination until I received my car, but I have to applaud Thrify employees for keeping good attitude and taking the time to explain to everyone why there is a delay, and that they are doing everything they can to get us out of there. I appreciated the feeling informed attitude. And everyone in line was super kind and positive

The people were friendly and helpful but they do try to upsell (eg electronic toll pass, extra insurance coverage). When driving to exit or enter the vehicle storage area, there isn't much room to maneuver and there are some tight turns.

At the time of car pick up, it looked like a bird egg fell out of a nest and was stuck to the top of the car roof. Scraping it off the car (with a partially formed bird inside) was not pleasant.

Cons:

Car smelled like cigarettes, i prepaid online and then was charged extra at pickup, more than doubling the rental cost. " Mandatory liability insurance, concession fees that weren't mentioned online and $44 for a toll pass which I chose to add). None of which were mentioned online when reserving and paying "In Full". My $125 car rental turned into $300. Felt like a bait and switch. Dishonest advertising. Once i was there for pickup, i needed the car and had no choice but to pay what they were asking.

The staff were fine.

Cons:

All the little extras really add up. I was charged 88 dollars for a concession fee recovery, I have no idea what that even is. The easy pass was 22 dollars a day which got expensive real fast.

Terrible. First car they gave me had a touchscreen that was broken which resulted in everything moving / adjusting constantly and changing on its own making driving it a virtual guarantee to be in an accident. They replaced it with an EV for a one way trip to Buffalo which was a 385 mile trip. I nearly froze to death waiting for a the car to charge in the middle of nowhere at 4am and had to constantly find slow chargers to make it another 30 miles. A typical 6-7 hour drive turned into a 14 hour one. I am now sick and my holiday is ruined.

Great vehicle, very clean and quick service. Better rates than we saw at other places. Fast and convenient pickup and drop-off. We paid upfront but be aware that at pick-up you will be charged taxes and other small fees, so we actually went above our projected budget than what our online charge showed.

The one staff member May was very helpful. But that is where it stopped.

Cons:

I made a reservation in advance but the SUV I reserved was not there when I arrived. It then took 20 minutes to get ahold of someone to find the vehicle. Then took 20 minutes to clean the vehicle. On my return. There was no one to greet me or check me out.

Pros:

The price was very affordable. Both drivers that picked me up or dropped me in lga were very nice and friendly.

Cons:

The ladies at the desk were disasters. They were busy playing with each other instead of assisting customers. I had to reminder them many time that I had to go. The lady that help helped to me said I had to upgrade because my car size was not available even though reserved ahead of time. Which I declined but she charged me aways for the upgrade. I spent over 30 mins to get my rental.

The Jeep Cherokee I reserved was not available. They upgraded me, at no charge, to a Seauoia. It is a monster of Vehicle. It cost me a lot of extra money for gas and not the easiest vehicle to drive.

LGA did not provide signage to SIXT shuttle. Shuttle driver did not help us with our bags at SIXT Rental Office. No signage at Rental Office to explain which end of the rope is the front of the line. I was standing at the other end of the rope and two clerks ignored me. The third clerk asked me if I was picking up a car. When I said yes, she told me that I was at the wrong end of rope. My clerk was a very nice lady, but when she left the desk to go get the car, she left my ID and credit card on the desk, unsecured. I received a car that had a cigarette stench in it. I won't be back. Next time, I'll go back to Enterprise/National. I'll spend a little more to get good service and a clean car.

Everything was great when I check my car in. Got an email that they didn’t receive my car. Got two phone calls that my car was late checking in even though I was a half hour early. Go home and get some bullshit message that it was damage to a tire on my car. I won’t be using the service anymore.

Nothing at all, their price is too high and they overcharged. They closed Saturday at 1pm and sunday they closed. Is better to rent at the airport so you won’t be charged drop off fee

Staff was very friendly.

Cons:

Outside of car was not washed before my pick-up. Representative did offer to take my car down the road to carwash, because their location does not have car wash facilities. I was running late for function, therefore could not take him up on offer. Otherwise, everything else was great.
