We booked a superior double with sufficient space for ourselves and our adult children to share. Location was excellent for walking or to access grand central station and the subway trains
The location is excellent. The housekeeping was good.
Our stay was for nine nights. Firstly, we were given a double bed which seemed like a king single and the springs were broken. It sagged in the middle so the first night was very uncomfortable. After we notified reception they got the supervisor and he agreed, hence we were transferred to a deluxe room which was much better. A few days after we checked out, we looked at our credit card statement and it appeared the hotel had charged us the full amount of our stay PLUS the bond on our check- in date, and then charged us again for the full amount on our check- out date. Clearly, there was a mistake. After many phone calls and emails to reception and being placed on hold, we finally got hold of the accounts supervisor and to her credit, she managed to rectify the situation with patience and efficiency. There was a process to "release" the monies. Apparently, the hotel places on "hold" an amount of money and therefore the monies is not returned/released for 1 or 2 weeks for US/local visitors and several weeks for international credit card holders. It has been terribly inconvenient for us. Other hotels just hold the bond amount and this is returned upon inspection of the room. Why this was not done in our case is staggering. I still do not know whether this was the hotel's mistake or whether it is their normal process. Either way, it's disappointing.
Hotel needs upgrading desperately. It is very run down and the rooms are very outdated. My toilet blocked and over flowed twice in my 24hr stay
The lobby only but it worth nothing
Defintely To avoid The shower was broken There is no USB plug in They refused to do change if you have Euro The manager at the front desk is Bad with client. the room is to old and not healthy it is very noisy Finally they add fees plus taxes at the final Price.
