Pros: Warm friendly welcome ... we were stranded when the sandstorm hit Gran Canaria and made a late booking. Staff were inundated with extra guests but were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much and will definitely see you again!!!

Cons: Due to the number of people trying to check in to the hotel at the same time, check in was really slow. Staff were very friendly but there was a lack of organisation. I would say this was a one off, as check out was much better organised.

Cons: We had booked and paid for a room without a view which was shabby and noisy for the price. There were adverse weather conditions and the room smelt of drains. However, I could not fault the staff who upgraded our room immediately.

Pros: Breakfast and dinner in the 360 restaurant were fabulous - the views and the food both excellent. The team were attentive and focused and were friendly and responsive. The Yoga in the mornings and the Salsa class by the pool were a wonderful addition to our stay. The gym was small but ok.

Cons: Nothing about the property to fault at all. Staff were all fabulous, except the restaurant manager on weds 29th Jan who told us he couldn’t guarantee a table booking when we’d pre-booked one in the morning with the very efficient waitress. He argued persistently with us and we were then kept waiting for at least 20 minutes for a menu and an offer of drinks, which was unacceptable and I suspect deliberate. He was very petulant, but did apologise later. It spoilt our dining experience obviously, and as we dined in a number of other restaurants in the area during our stay, we had better experiences elsewhere. The ratings given to this restaurant did not match our experience, and without the views I suspect it would not be so highly rated

Pros: I did wonder if I should post another review of the hotel as I’ve written three over the last twelve months - but then I thought fellow travellers might only be interested in current experiences. So here goes - again. Getting there - couldn’t be easier. Breeze through the airport if you’ve got hand luggage only and if you get it right you’ll be at the hotel in no time. Buses 66 & 90 at 30 & 44 mins past the hour respectively, stop virtually outside the hotel costing just €3.50, taking about 30 mins. Likewise going back the buses leave at 45 & 02/13 mins past the hour. Check in - from 14:00 but most times when I’ve arrived earlier I’ve been able to check in. Was greeted this time by Lucy who recognised me as a returning guest and remembered my name. Sparkling wine or juice offered while checking in. Small things like this make a difference. Lucy also takes time to engage with guests throughout their stay and she’s a credit to the hotel. The room - I mainly stay in a standard room which is perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed, good size flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facility, small fridge and balcony with table & chairs. Fully tiled bathroom with twin sinks and large walk in shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. There’s also a hair dryer and white fluffy towels. There was a free bottle of wine on arrival but no water this time. For those who are interested, the TV now has BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 & Channel 5. Room tips - try to avoid room ending 07-11 (so for example 610) as they are in the lift lobby area and if like me you’re a light sleeper you’ll hear people chatting while waiting along with the lift arrival chimes and doors opening. There’s a safe in the wardrobe - but you need to pay extra to use it. WiFi - not very good. In fact it’s non existent on the roof terrace and patchy in the dining room. The only place I was able to consistently connect was the bedroom.

Pros: Having stayed in many hotels in the area this has been my favourite by far , spotlessly clean hotel and grounds , the situation of the hotel built into a hill maximised the stunning views from all areas . Staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially the restaurant staff . We were on the 3rd floor , which could be a little noisy but nothing earplugs didn’t rectify! Would highly recommend Dunamar and will undoubtedly come again .

Pros: The facility is well maintained and was recently updated, location next to the beach Playa del Ingles (300m) and a short walk to the city centre cca 10 min walk (Maspalomas), lots of bars/restaurants/casinos/ect nearby. Large rooms (cca 35 m2), our had a balcony - sea view, 14th floor (the hotel itself has best views of the Playa del Ingles), but the extras do come with price increase (still: good value hotel). The breakfast is very good, plenty of variety (TIP: if the food-quantity is your "vacation fetish" go for the "Hotel HL Suitehotel Playa del Ingles"). WiFi is opened and "P2P friendly", average speed and ping. Staff was OK: they have a fixed-rate taxi to the airport (30 min drive cca; price: 40 EUR). Havent tried the gym or other facilities; see parking under "cons" section. Maspalomas is located on the south of the Gran Canaria island, best option for sun-seekers and beach-live, which brings me to ... GENERAL GRAN CANARIA WEATHER WARNING: the north of the Gran Canaria Island (Las Palmas, main city) is ALMOST ALWAYS cloudy with VERY limited sunshine (but still warm naturally ...), so if the beach&sun is you main priority go for other sections, south (including MasPalomas) is the best option!!! For petrol-head: Maspalomas even has a raceway: book Supercar Gran Canaria and drive a few laps in a 360 Modena Ferrari for cca 120 EUR! (7/2019)

Pros: The facility is well maintained and was recently updated, location next to the beach Playa del Ingles (300m) and a short walk to the city centre cca 10 min walk (Maspalomas), lots of bars/restaurants/casinos/ect nearby. Large rooms (cca 35 m2), our had a balcony - sea view, 14th floor (the hotel itself has best views of the Playa del Ingles), but the extras do come with price increase (still: good value hotel). The breakfast is very good, plenty of variety (TIP: if the food-quantity is your "vacation fetish" go for the "Hotel HL Suitehotel Playa del Ingles"). WiFi is opened and "P2P friendly", average speed and ping. Staff was OK: they have a fixed-rate taxi to the airport (30 min drive cca; price: 40 EUR). Havent tried the gym or other facilities; see parking under "cons" section. Maspalomas is located on the south of the Gran Canaria island, best option for sun-seekers and beach-live, which brings me to ... GENERAL GRAN CANARIA WEATHER WARNING: the north of the Gran Canaria Island (Las Palmas, main city) is ALMOST ALWAYS cloudy with VERY limited sunshine (but still warm naturally ...), so if the beach&sun is you main priority go for other sections, south (including MasPalomas) is the best option!!! For petrol-head: Maspalomas even has a raceway: book Supercar Gran Canaria and drive a few laps in a 360 Modena Ferrari for cca 120 EUR! (7/2019)
Cons: Parking in Playa del Ingles (or Gran Canaria in general) is a mess, so with rental car there is a lot of "logistics" involved. Luckily there is a large open-air (not-covered) private parking at the Playa entrance (cca 13 EUR/day), close to the hotel. The Avoid the Yumbo center: full of shady bars and characters, definitely not a family destination by night (a true definition of a "skid row"). One more thing: for this price-range there could be hotel-reserved (meaning: free ...) section of the beach, with reserved places. Taxi to the airport is the same price as the usual fare (no discount). (7/2019)

Cons: All inclusive food and drinks was in fact limited to a buffet and house wines. Buffet for lunch and dinner was very poor. Breakfast buffet was good but all good from hot buffet was lukewarm. Food was not replenished so if you arrived later than the start time your choices of foods was basically the leftovers. Tea and coffee was not free unless you went to another floor, ridiculous. Desserts were bought in and not in-house baked. No drinking water supplied to your room. We were supposedly upgraded to a deluxe twin room yet there was no room for suitcase tables. And we're overlooking a busy street, where nearby restaurants played live music into the early hours. Unfriendly vibe overall

Cons: There was no fridge in the room. My family member had to pay an additional €65 for a fridge for 6 days which was unexpected. The air conditioning wasn’t the best but was left on all day in the end so it wasn’t so hot to come back to. I would say be careful with this because I was supposed to be charged in euros as I paid upfront on booking.com to get a slightly reduced price...I was charged in sterling and given a completely shocking rate so ended up having to pay about another £50 on top of what I was expecting to pay. Obviously booking.com have not sorted this out despite communication over a period of months which is extremely frustrating...so I would advise people to check this out via TUI to avoid getting ripped off!

Cons: It would have been better if there had been a fridge in the room. Also the option of a room with a bath would be good. When I arrived they had already charged the credit card I used to secure the booking. I wished to pay with a debit card so they agreed to refund the credit card and take a debit card payment. They said that charging the credit card was a booking.com policy but I have used booking.com many times and never had this issue before.

For every meal you get the best quality of food if you go in the first hour. The last hour of every meal the food sight is not really that appealing. The pool was always extremely full that we have never used it. Some of the pool tables don’t function properly. It’s convenient if you have a family or going in a large group. Don’t recommend for couples who are looking for a quiet getaway

The quality of the food far exceeded my expectations - this was my first AI so I was prepared for mediocre canteen catering but really the food was excellent. The quality and availability of drinks too was great - a decent selection of included cocktails and the option to upgrade to premium if desired (we didn't). The room was much larger than I expected, very roomy for a couple. A small balcony but there aren't any spectacular views from this position anyway so no real need to hang out on it. There are plenty of seating areas which are busier or quieter at different times of the day, but plenty of loungers for everyone. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, and seemed to enjoy being there. There are plenty of shops, cafes and other bars and restaurants nearby for a change if you want, a d the walk along the seafront or down onto the sand is great.

Pros: Great, friendly and hard working staff especially Isabela running kids club. She was absolutely amazing! Big and warm swimming pool. Music on the swimming pool was not too loud. Very good evening entertainment.
Cons: We could hear every word said by our neighbours in next door bungalow. More storage room requied downstairs.

Cons: The pool is too small and people always have to fight for the space to be near the pool. We had to stay on the sun beds from early morning to reserve our spot, which is really stressful. We had few people coming and lying on our sun bed even we had our towers and begs on it.

Cons: We have to leave the hotel 20.03. instead of 27.03. due to Vovido-19 and the hotel was closing. They refuse to reimburse us for those days when we couldn't make a new one, and I find it sad.

Cons: Bad kitchen, narrow. Uncomfertable furnitures. The sofa was bad to sit in and to lay on as the 3rd bed. No hotel for elderly people, needs upgrading. Much noice during the night. The card locks did not work properly, the cards had to be upgraded mostly every day at the reception. It should have been free WiFi in each apartement, not only in the reception.
