My treatment, for complaints abut the drilling heard in my room
The Strand Palace Hotel
The location was great for tourists. Right in the heart of Covent Gardens. Lots of energy and buzz about. Staff was friendly.
The room was so small I nearly knocked the tv off the wall when walking from the bed to the bathroom. There wasn't a dresser to put my clothes in, and if I were to use the folding stand to place my suitcase I literally would not have been able to move around. Airconditioning was adequate for my room, but the hallways were hot, and the lobby was uncomfortably warm. Carpets were dark and dingy. I had tech problems with the wifi, something others were having as well, but there wasn't anyone at the hotel who could adequately solve the problem. A four-star hotel?
No ac and had to sign a waiver to get help opening the windows. Otherwise, room was stifling.
Central London location. Absolutely perfect.
The hotel was centrally located right near the Waterloo bridge, literally just steps away from the London Eye. Also conveniently located near the Covent Garden tube stop, making it very easy to travel between places throughout London and still be close to the hotel to recover. The room was nice, smaller than expected but still met my stay needs. Complementary prosecco wine and money to use at their restaurants is a bonus if booked directly with them.
Take the £12 breakfast when you check in. It gets expensive if you feel like having breakfast at the hotel for several days at a time. The cost will cover you for your whole stay.
Great find in Central London
Friendly courteous staff and very clean hotel.
The walking area around the bed is a little tight.
Trip to London - November 2016
Service was excellent, especially Francesco who made us welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. The hotel was extremely clean and very close to the metro station and Trafalgar Square
Room was on the small side.
All about location
Good location but little loud at night. Extreamly uncomfortable and small bed and window without any view.
Just location .
Lovely hotel I've used it five times already this
Everything was perfect
very bad customer services ,rooms are very small,no air condition ,room was very hot ,this hotel not recommended at all ,i will never come back to this hotel at all .
Great location, easy check-in.
Bar selection limited and drinks overpriced. Bellman also inflated cost of Healthrow Express and cab to Paddington Station in an effort to sell car service to Heathrow.
Excellent value for your money
This hotel is in the heart of London. If you stay here you are close to everything. I was only in London for 2 days and wanted a Hotel that I would spend minimal time on travel getting to London's main attractions. If you are on a budget this hotel is one of the best available. If is a bit dated but I was in London to see the sights so I did not need my hotel to be state of the art.
If you are traveling in the summer be aware that this hotel has no air conditioning. At least the room I stayed in had none.
