Pros: We enjoyed staying in the heritage part of the hotel. It really did feel like going back in time. The suite was very comfortable with everything you'd expect from a hotel of this level. The staff in front of house were extremely helpful.
Cons: The pool in the heritage section was closed for our entire stay. However the pool at the victory wing was pleasant and not too far to walk. The gym in the heritage section has little in the way of cardio equipment but again, there is a full range in the gym in the other section.

Cons: The bed linens are filthy. There were even nasty sweat marks on pillow cases. Housekeeping came and appeared aware that sheets have not been changed. I will never stay in this hotel again.

Cons: Fair price but after adding: 10% service charge 6% vat 10rm city tax 2rm gouv. Tax It came out not worth to come there. Its not the hotel, but really feel like scammed by malaysia by all this laws. One day they will understand but it will be too late, tourism in malaysia and penang will drop down very fast

Pros: The staff were helpful. When I checked in the room I was given had a strong smell of bleach emanating from the bathroom. I requested a room change and was immediately moved to another room. I also accidentally locked myself out once and reception provided me a new key card free of charge to once again access my room. This is a nice hotel that is quite central and close to the touristy part of Georgetown as well as the Esplanade in the north. Breakfast was quite a spread.
Cons: The room was unusually large! There was an open space in there that could have fitted an entire queen bed. That was very, very unusual. The bathroom was a bit dated too (but clean) and lacked any form of a working air vent as far as I could tell.
