We had problems with the 1st car being a "smoker" experience and a tire and sensor problem. We traded the car in 3 days into a 10-day trip. At the facility in Hartford, they only had a size smaller car which was not what I was paying for but had no choice. They attempted to make some accommodations regarding fuel which was appreciated. When I turned the car in however, the agent listened and treated me with respect and made a financial adjustment to my satisfaction. I will return to Enterprise because the agent did an excellent job to make me happy.

The address for Hertz was inaccurately listed on momondo website, resulting in 2 uber rides to pick up. They gave us an electric car for managers special and then charged us to switch to gas car. Frustrating.

The car's exterior was really dirty. So much so that I chose to run it through a car wash during our rental time just to clean it up. The interior was clean. I believe the exterior was dirty because the rental location at the airport doesn't have a cleaning facility or location to wash returned vehicles, so not really the staff's fault. But maybe they could get a mobile cleaning service or something? Otherwise, the rental was good and I'm happy.

Easy pick up and drop off. Conveniently located right in arrivals area. My main complaint is they left the windows part way down and it was raining when we arrived. Driver seat was soaked and passenger seat slightly wet. Also, car was not cleaned very well. Empty water bottle in back as well as cup holders had crumbs/sticky stuff in them.

The car overall would have been great but when we picked it up, it smelled like someone had smoked something in it and then they sprayed something in the car to cover up the smell. This smell stayed with the vehicle the entire time of the rental. The washer fluid was also low The entire trip.

Did not have the size car I requested. “Free” upgrade meant driving something I was uncomfortable with. First car they assigned me had a tire pressure light on and had to be returned. No one to receive car in parking lot on return so drop off keys and hope for an electronic receipt which doesn’t come. When pressed to get a receipt find a $106 gas charge when the tank was returned full and told I had to email Avis for a refund. LAST time ever with Avis for me!

The car I reserved wasn’t available (small car) was given a massive SUV instead. Car was dirty on the outside and had a large scratch on the outside. My pickup time was for 12 pm and I arrived at 4 pm, and was told that they do not hold cars or guarantee the car reserved if you come after your pickup time (I could only select 12 pm on the site when booking).
