Have a nice cafe Excellent staff

Toilets were not cleaned every time. Somedays they were so dirty. Also, the rooms should be cleaned on a 2 days interval. My room was not cleaned for a week. To conclude the music from the music playing at the cafe is too loud. For students like me it was difficult to concentrate.

One positive was that the check in process was easy and straight forward.

There was a homeless person staying in the same shared room as me and he kept trying to sell me drugs and random “product”. There were people doing drugs in the shared bathrooms. When I told the staff that I didn’t feel safe, they didn’t seem to care at all and told me the only solution was to move me to another room. The facilities were extremely dirty and didn’t look well kept. The sheets on my bed were stained and dirty.

The only good thing was the bar, that had a very cool ambience and the bar man was really nice guy.

The hotel has really Near an S-bahn and tram station so that's great. It is also not so far away from Alexanderplatz, but you have to go by s bahn and U-bahn. Just the girl that was at the reception the first night that I arrive (saturday) was in a good mood. The other 2 that I saw were like stressed and like no attitude. Also I tried to wash my clothing and the guy told me first that I give hime the clothes and he washes them for me and the next morning told me that I had to do it by myself. Ok, I was gonna do it when I return. And when I rerurned other girl was there and told me that she don't had there the special coins for the machine so I had to wait until 10 30 - 11 pm or by morning. So I said no, I really need to do it now. I had to go out and look for a laundry. There were a lot of noise at the room corridors, the people screaming and drunk. A big noise when they close the doors, because are these doors that lock very hard. And you also can hear sounds from other rooms.

The guy receptionist from Israel was super nice and friendly. The bartenders and the bar was also really cool, not so expensive. The lobby was cool. Location wasn't that bad either. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.

It was just a big disappointment. First of all besides 1 person, reception staff is not friendly at all. One of the girl rolled her eyes at me before even going up to her. They were not that helpful. Even before arriving I had a bad experience with them. I messaged them about wanting to extend my stay, they just went ahead and charged me without any answer. The place is just full with weird people. I understand it's not touristic season, but come on. Of course weird people it's not the hostel's fault, but it seems like they let everybody in. In our room we had 2 people who had been probably living there for a really long. For us being tourists and with the intention of having fun, made us uncomfortable that in the room we couldn't basically do anything because it seemed like they own the room. The room just looks like a hospital room, they have no design. The showers are even worse. Really uncomfortable and disgusting. Cleanliness isn't the best either. It's cheap, but even it's not worth the amount we have paid. I would never stay there again.
