Breakfast was fine. Better than expected. Loved the location next to two restaurants, plus a potential dinner cruise, a floating night club, and so very near the (impressively frequent) water taxi which gave us the chance to mix in with the locals. Amsterdam was VERY charming. The Botel was novel...we'd stay there again despite the very small rooms. The Russian sub next to the Botel was unexpected and novel.
The room and shower were very small even by European standards, and tired. Needs a facelift. The bed was fine. Too, my suggestion is that if the Botel knows you are arriving early to mid morning from a western destination like the U.S. it would be GREAT if a room that had just been cleaned had been made available. As it was we had to go away for 5-6 hours (until 3 p.m. according to their policy) exhausted from jet lag before a room was available. If we were young maybe that's OK....sadly we are in our 70's.
Loved the breakfast. Lounge area was nice.
Toilet/sink too close. Bed was too close to the table. Towels were poor. Shower couldn’t lock into postion.
Conveniant location, good facilities, very good value for money! Kinda left to do your thing which is perfect and a nice rooftop garden
The staff like to try to overcharge in the bar
It was ok! Near city centre, of course you had to take the communal ferry! Nice view!
My room it was near the service room, so in the morning at 7.20 am i start to listen a lot of noise! But for quality/ price it's ok!
It was on the water
The bathroom smelled like intense mold. It was such a strong smell that I didn't even want to take a shower. There were no blankets on the bed. I looked around the room for some and I found an old fake wool blanket folded on the floor of the closet. I don't even know if it was clean. Not a nice experience there. The facilities were very old. Doesn't feel good. Should be a 6.1 rather than 7.6 property.
