Pros:
Drop-off was easy. They gave us an upgrade at pickup (though I actually wanted a smaller car having never driven on the left before and hearing that the roads are narrow...the roads are narrow!). But it was comfortable and an easy to drive standard car.Cons:
It took a long time to get a bus to the Enterprise pick-up location. The person who showed us the car nearly forgot to give us the GPS that I had reserved (and we would have been totally lost without).Europcar

The idea of placing a huge hold ($5000) on my credit card because I waived the optional insurance, when I had certified proof of insurance and a statement of coverage from my credit card company (Barclay) was just silly and it could have put a damper on my ability to cover all my travel needs. The only reason it didn't was because I have a significant credit limit and another card that is similarly positioned and creditworthy.6.4 Okay

When we dropped of the car at the rental facility at the outskirts of the airport at 8:30pm, there was no more free shuttle bus to the airport. So they made us taking a taxi, which cost almost 10 EUR.Sixt

Pros:
Staff were very helpful at Avis but the insurance fees were outrageous and tripled the cost of the rental. That being said, I cannot commend them enough for how they handled our return of the car early due to COVID-19Cons:

Pros:
Upon pick up the staff was very friendly and helpful, but a bit slow. It would have been more helpful if we knew up front that we had to take a shuttle bus to the rental space in Dublin. The vehicle was definitely a great value as it held 6 people comfortably with luggage, and it drove well.Cons:

Extremely rude staff, particularly the woman working at the counter in Terminal 2 and the shuttle bus driver. The outside of the car was dirty, the transmission would easily slip into reverse (no down press, or button to engage). They were going to charge me for a dent in the hood, fortunately my wife had taken a picture of it when we picked up the car.Dollar

Online, the price said it would be $50 for 3 days...got there, they wouldn’t take my credit card that covers international insurance, refused to give me my quoted price, and tried to charge me $50/day for the car. I wish that they would have informed us in advance that we needed a letter from our credit card company to cover insure rather than tell us when we got there and it was to late. Our cost tripled because of insure, even though the same day was contacted our credit card company and they sent us a letter via email they would not honor it. Wrong vehicle, was charged more for a vehicle that was less in value and smaller. GPS did not work, back up camera did not work. Don't use these guys.2.0 Poor

I used my credit card’s insurance guarantee, but nowhere in the reservation did it say that to do do ALSO required a letter from my credit card company stating (1) that they cover the Republic of Ireland, (2) they will cover the lace loss if totaled, and (3) the last 4 numbers of my cc account. So at the Europcar desk I had to make that phone call, wade through a few phone trees, then talk to a couple of humans. I did get the letter (great service by my cc bank!) but I was lucky - that approval process may take up to 24 hours. The Europcar desk agent said this happens “quite a bit” with the brokers because you don’t provide the information about what each rental car company requires to use the cc insurance waiver benefits. I suggest adding a link to your process that will take your to the specific rental car company page for their CDW. I did use the link provided for my rental but it did not say I would have to get the letter etc.3.2 Poor

I was quoted one price and then when I went to pick to pick the car up they made me pay 3.5x the price because I was booking on a Euro credit card not and American credit card. Then they have you walk 4 blocks and to the top of a parking garage to collect the car. God help you if you have bags or it’s raining. If it was cheap to rent I would t have minded walking. But at that outrageous cost you’d expect a little bit of service maybe bring the car to the rental shop?!keddy by Europcar

Lovely car and easy to drive.Cons:
I took the basic cover upon booking which is what I wanted. Upon picking up the car, it turns out that with basic cover, you have to pay €1500 (returnable) up front, on a credit card in my own name, OR €60 for more advanced insurance which you don’t get back. Well I don’t have €1500 on credit... but I have it in savings... and so therefore I was forced to pay for the higher cover. I’ve NEVER felt like I’ve been forced to do this with any other car hire company. The money with other care hire agents was chargeable if an accident occurs - which I am in total agreement with. It seems that this is simply a way of advertising a lower rate and locking the customer in. Really disappointed.4.8 Mediocre

We were traveling with 7people and renting 2 cars. We had 6 very large pieces of luggage and 6 small bags. I figured there was no way we would get 2, five passenger vehicles to move all that luggage and 7 people and Alamo/Enterprise gave us there 2 cars with the biggest trunks and it worked perfect.Cons:
The X insurance is expensive but the piece of mind made it necessary since driving in Ire is chaotic. Also, rented GPS was worthless since it did not recognize places, only addresses and in Ireland, addresses are only a convenience. The cell apps work much better, best pay for cell service in Ire.10.0 Wonderful
