Pros: The John Randall House was conveniently located a short walk away from Commercial Street. The staff was very accomodating and informative. The common areas were very clean. I was a little apprehensive to share a bathroom, but it was totally fine!
Cons: Our room was a little small, but to be honest, we were never there, so it didn't really matter.

The John Randall House is ideally located a block away from the heart of downtown Provincetown. It's close enough to the action to feel right in the thick of things, but far enough away to not feel enveloped by the craziness of Commercial Street. The rooms were well appointed, and the B&B itself is tastefully decorated and well maintained. You can tell some extra effort went into the design and upkeep of the shared bathrooms. The B&B proprietors were smart to leave extra towels, soaps, and shampoos out for guests to use. The towels, were especially a good idea. The one downside about our stay here was that we never saw an actual staff person that worked for the B&B. We arrived late, so the staff left our room keys in the mailbox (this was really helpful, and we appreciated it). But in the morning the following day we never once ran into someone who worked for the B&B. The few people that looked like they worked there (handymen doing general repairs) said 'I don't work here' when we asked basic questions. We don't consider ourselves high maintenance travelers, but we had one very specific question that we could have used help with--and a simple favor to ask: to leave our bags at the B&B for the day (just two small back packs) after we checked out. This would have been hugely helpful, as we were on our bikes, and it would have been great not to have had to lug our stuff around with us as we cruised the beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore and browsed the shops on Commercial Street. Overall, a great, clean, place to crash in Ptown for the low maintenance traveler, but don't expect personal service when you get there.
Pros: The B&B was clean, well located, well maintained, and had all the necessary items laid out for its guests (towels, soaps, etc.). They were also very helpful with our late check in, leaving keys in the mailbox for us when we arrived at 8:30 p.m.
Cons: There was an overall lack of staff around. The few people that looked like they worked there (handymen doing general repairs) said 'I don't work here' when we asked basic questions.
