Agrigento hotels near Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Greci

Cons: No protective sheet covering mattress.

Pros: Excellent location - right in the centre of the old town. Lovely room - very comfortable.

Cons: Parking arrangement. Despite great feedback from other guests about the complimentary parking in the nearby parking garage we were not offered this option. We were told by the staff member who checked us in to park on a public street in front of a rental car office - which we did eventhough it seemed strange. The morning staff made it clear that was not correct and rushed to park the car in the supposedly free garage but we had to pay. E 3.50 while we returned to the hotel to have breakfast. For an upmarket B&B this was a rather bizzare incident. Communicating with staff can be hard if you don't speak Italian.

Cons: Parking is supposed to be provided free In the morning when we checked out we were told that there were no more validated parking tickets for the car park This seems very strange for such a nice place that seems to be well organized I asked if something could be done about this I was told no So we we had to pay 8 euros to get our car out of the parking garage Too bad to end our stay on an unpleasant note

Pros: Well kept, nice rooms, good breakfast and a very good staff, helpful and happy. Situated in a little piazza, beautiful!

Pros: Very central location in old city; check-in was very efficient; room and bathroom were clean;

Cons: Room and bathroom had an overly-perfumed smell (probably because of the perfume in the cleaning supplies and the incense sticks), was difficult for someone with allergies.

Pros: The hosts were lovely and super welcoming.

Pros: Room clean and nicely updated. Convenient parking nearby. Nice breakfast. Wine and deserts welcomed us to room, though I was unable to open wine bottle. Young man at check in was kind in showing me the way to reach the parking lot by accompanying me there.

Cons: When we called for directions to parking, receptionist at front desk was most unhelpful, perhaps because of difficulty with English. Since the hotel is not located on a street but up a stairwell from a restricted piazza, we had to drive for an hour to eventually reach it or somewhere nearby. While bathroom was tasteful, it could be more functional with a shelf since the pedestal sink offered no surface.

Pros: The hotel is absolutely charming and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotels are so wonderfully situated next to the beautiful Piazza Luigi Pirandello. I was surprised how easy it was to find despite crooked streets of the city. Parking is complementary in a garage about 50 m down below the plaza.

Cons: It was all good. My favorite hotel in Sicily so far!

Pros: The B and B was lovely. (Don't be put off by the exterior!) The proprietors were very welcoming and helpful and we had a good room and breakfast. The building was easy to find with the GPS and we managed to get free parking two nights out of three. We used the nearby underground carpark for the last (8 Euros for 24 hours).

Pros: Area was close to our previous accommodation so we knew the area.

Cons: Mosquitos in the bedroom, and to have breakfast was extra - shou l d not be called a B&B if the breakfast is not included in the the tariff.

Pros: Spent just one night here but the room was fantastic and the location too :)

Cons: There was no view, unless you like concrete. The shower head holder was bust.

Cons: The owner left off the correct address of the location. Someone must correct the address which needs to include the name Giovanni on the street address. We had a very difficult time locating the place. The owner of the facility was not around to answer questions. She left shortly after our arrival and did not return until breakfast the following day. The breakfast was unappealing and limited. We had no internet service in the morning. In addition, the the bathroom lacked soap for showering and washing up.

Pros: Everything. We were advised to go through previous reviews and we weren’t disappointed. The couple couldn’t do enough for us and the house is lovely

Cons: No eateries nearby so you will need a car

Pros: This must be the best B&B in town. The owner is fantastic. She gives good advice on sights.The room was large and comfortable. The location is excellent. Very close to the old centre of the city, just outside the really narrow streets. Street parking is possible. The nearby public parking is better. Good breakfast. There is a good African/Sicilian fusion restaurant close by.

Cons: Our GPS had problems finding a good route and the location is in a steep and narrow one way lane.

Pros: Located on the edge of the historic center of Agrigento, this B&B has a very friendly owner and a pleasant interior design. The window of the room overlooks a small yard with fruit trees and a view of the Valley of the Temples in the distance. The breakfast (served from 8:45 to 10) was very good. The Valley of the Temples and the Archaeological Museum are spectacular.

Cons: We stayed here in January and found the room a bit cold (even more so than other places in Sicily at this time), yet the owner later told us that we could have set the air-conditioning to heating mode (we had tried to do so but without success). We also didn't like the town of Agrigento very much, as it was quite dirty and uninteresting despite the high rating given to it by Michelin (perhaps this impression was due to the fact that almost all the sights were closed in winter and could be seen only from the outside). The streets are very narrow, steep (many of them are staircases), and full of cars.

Pros: The hotel has a great garden overlooking the valley of temples which is walking distance from hotel, breakfast is super nice and you may find not only sweet options which is quite rare in Italy, staff nice and helpful and very comfortable bed.

Pros: Perdonnel very helpful snd friendly. Nice terrace and view of teo temples from the ( tiny) window

Cons: Very old furmiture, tiny rooms. For me it was too expensive for such rooms. The location to visit the temple was very good.

Pros: Service was outstanding and the location was great for seeing the Valley of the Temples and not getting into a lot of traffic issues. Food at the hotel was outstanding! Room was very nice with great view.

Cons: We find the beds far too hard to sleep on.

Pros: I liked the beautiful common areas, dining room and gardens with view of temples. It was late December and not overly crowded.

Cons: The staff needed more updated information about access to the temples. They directed us to walk to the nearby archaeological museum, which we did, and then to take a special pedestrian pathway to the temples. They didn’t know, and the museum staff told us, that the special pedestrian pathway from the museum to the temples is closed in winter. The museum staff advised against walking along the regular road for cars, saying there was no sidewalk and it was quite dangerous. They advised returning to the Colle Verde Hotel and taking our car to the temples. We lost some time having to go back for our car, and let the hotel staff know that their information was incorrect. They apologized and said the archaeological site had not informed them of the seasonal closure of the pedestrian path. This was the only inconvenience we experienced. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant.

Pros: The location, lobby and dining hall are very nice. The front desk Michelle is very helpful, and provided the excellent service. The dinner is also above expectation.

Pros: Everything else was great: service, cleanliness and location (able to walk to the Valley of the Temples).

Cons: In-house restaurant had limited menu,. although we recognize we stayed in the offseason. Also, wifi didn't work well in our 3rd floor room.

Cons: Our bed wasn't comfortable at all. We both woke up with a sore back. Apart from that everything else was good

Pros: Beautiful room with a fantastic view. The receptionist was great. She was very friendly and let us know about the restraint located there at the hotel. She asked us about our stay in Sicily and explained that our next stop was going to be another amazing time. Thank you Juci

Pros: It was close to the Templi. Breakfast was ok. They also recommended a restaurant that was fine.

Cons: We were misinformed about having two beds and to add insult to injury they charged us 25€ per night because of the “superior room”! One of us had to sleep on a sofa-bed twin size.

Pros: Staff very helpful, breakfast is reasonable. Overall it's fine just a little bit dated, but that is part of the charm of the place.
