Pros:
Booking’s review is very misleading!
Cons:
It is just a guest house - not comfortable stay

Pros:
Miho is the most wonderful host you can imagine. She thinks about everything before you can even think of it and makes sure you are more than ok with her help and advice. And the breakfast she prepares is absolutely delicious. The house is very comfortable.

Pros:
Miho is the host of your dreams, can't get any better than this. She helped me to book a rental car (car was at the door next morning), recommended restaurants nearby and even drives you there if the way is too long. Additionally the breakfast is awesome, you should definitely choose this option. House is close to Anbo Port and with a rental car you can easily explore all of the island. Communication is easy and Miho is a genuinely nice person, highly recommend to stay at Miho's place.
Cons:
My stay was too short

Pros:
- All the recommendations and help that provided me Miho-san, as well as her boss, were invaluable for making the most of my days staying at Yakushima. I immensely appreciate all the attention given. - The breakfasts were awesome. - All the facilities were spotless. - The room I had was quite big and very comfortable. - Regarding the location and some nearby facilities: it is just at less than 4 minutes walk from the bus stop which I used for going to Shiratani Unsuikyo and Yakusugi Land. Additionally, just in front of the bus stop there is a tiny shop that sells obentos in the morning. The rental shop for the trekking equipment is less than 15 minutes walk.
Cons:
I have no complaints at all.

Pros:
I had a really nice stay at la Isla Tasse. The location is great, 10 minutes walking distance from the port, near some really good restaurants, bento shops and directly in front of the Ambo river. Also the room is quite spacious for a single room, there‘s no private bathroom but the 2 big bathrooms really make up for it (there‘s even a jacuzzi in each one of them!!). The breakfast was great, everything was spotless. But what made it worth the 10 is the great Miho-san who helped me as I checked in to order the rental car (which was then provided for me in front of the guesthouse), book some kayak courses, gave me advives on the trek and top things to do and she even drove me back to Ambo port after I checked out and so many other things, thanks again for you customer service it was fantastic :)

Pros:
The owner is helpful. He provides me advice on the trekking, and helps to order lunch box for me. The breakfast is very nice as well. It is a traditional Japanese breakfast, which is the best to start a whole-day hiking. It is clean everywhere.
Cons:
Everything is good, none.

Cons:
A little pricey

Pros:
The owners could not have been friendlier or more welcoming for our one night stay. Though there was a bit of a language barrier (they don't speak much English) they got us situated right away, drove us to the bus office to buy a bus pass, and recommended an excellent sashimi restaurant within walking distance. Our room had an excellent view over the Ambk river and my mom and I slept like logs to the sound of lapping water. Divine! It was nice being right in town and would definitely go back if we return to Yakushima. Also I highly recommend springing for the Japanese style breakfast in the morning. It's a great deal at 500 yen.
Cons:
Since the bathroom is shared (we didn't know that) there is some noise from other occupants coming and going down the hall at night. Not a big deal though and part of the program with a b&b style house.
