Although the hotel is quite grand and in the middle of town. The rooms are very dated. TVs are put in the room awkwardly. It’s a nice hotel but not what I would expect for the money I paid.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. Before our first night's sleep, one of our beds needed a mattress topper, which was provided. Hotel personnel were very cordial. The food was only average—not what we expected from the ambiance of the rest of the facility.

Pros (+) Very nice looking (marble, chandeliers, etc.), lots of amenities. Large rooms. In the heart of downtown. Good bar in the hotel lobby restaurant.
Cons (-) Not good value IMO. It was nice but there were several disappointing things in our short stay (see below) that I would have expected better considering the price. Service was prickly and unfriendly. The rooms were well appointed and large but I didn't find the value paying 3x for them. Pretentious... too fancy for me.
