Pros (+) Great hotel for parents when visiting campus. Nice bars and restaurants. Easy access KU gift shop and accommodating staff. Don’t worry about parking, just use the valet service.
Cons (-) Could use some pictures in the floor lobby’s. Maybe oversized black and white photos of KU through the years? Can’t decide if I like the bare floors in the rooms or want a little carpet.
Pros (+) The beds were soft and the rooms were spotless.
Cons (-) The staff was rude, hard to track down, and not incredibly helpful. The room was incredibly expensive and honestly I've slept in softer beds for much less. In the morning around 930 the cleaning crew was INCREDIBLY loud, I mean practically screaming as they were tossing rooms over, not something you want to hear on a day you plan to sleep in. I don't understand why the hotel cost so much for such ...

Pros (+) The people were my favorite!! Everyone was more than accommodating; there was a charm & overall kindness. We were visiting to get our impression of the University of Kansas & the OREAD was a beautiful first impression of the architecture, atmosphere & people!
