Excellent place to stay
The Savoy is very central, staff are friendly, professional and welcoming, rooms are clean and warm, each bed has its own light, charger and shelf, the bathroom was more like a hotel than a hostel. The free breakfast was great - cereal, toast, fruit, juice, tea and real coffee. The common room has 3 free computers with internet, pool table, lots of seating and tables, and a big TV. The kitchen is small but has all the essentials - cooker, microwave, plates, cups, cutlery. One of the best hostels I've stayed in Ireland and would definitely recommend.
Kitchen is small and gets cramped at meal times. Many people staying there don't bother cleaning up after themselves and leave their dishes and beer cans all over the kitchen and dining area.
A stay at The Savoy Hostel places you in the heart of Galway, steps from Shop Street and St. Francis Abbey. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
Policies vary by room type and provider.
