Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's central location, making it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transport. The staff received high marks for their friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency, with several guests mentioning specific employees who went above and beyond. Breakfast was frequently highlighted as delicious and varied. However, noise was a common complaint, especially for rooms facing the street or near construction, and some guests noted issues with cleanliness and room maintenance. Overall, the positives of location, service, and breakfast stood out most.

Pros (+) This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Ricks and will probably use it again. My son is at uni in Edinburgh so this is an inexpensive place to stay in when I visit him. Food is great and reasonable price, found drinks very expensive though.
