Loved the decor and the very friendly staff. Despite the name, Retro Inn, the rooms were modern and comfortable. But the place was decorated with vintage stuff, from the posters on the wall (I was in room 1964 - Beatlemania), to the vintage camping trailer and phone booth by the office. it was great.
I wish there had been a more comfortable chair in the room....I don't like hanging out on the bed.
Great location. Decent property with grassy areas. Very convenient parking. Clean.
Expensive for the type of room (older style with an attempt at bringing back the retro feel). Although I visited during high season, so higher price was expected. My room was very small.
The motel is recently updated with a mix of modern and retro appointments. While the room holds your basic essentials and nothing "extra", it wasn't lacking. The beds were very comfortable and the theme was nicely, if minimalisticly, completed. The rooms are numbered in years, a fun way of deploying the theme. Our room was 1964, and in it featured a poster of 1964 Beatles.
We had a late arrival, and the front desk closed at 10pm. They had arrangements, but no the most convenient.
Decor and theming was very cool. Price was excellent.
Cement block walls in the rooms remind one of a state university freshman dormitory.
I enjoyed that each room number was a year and was decorated accordingly. Continental breakfast was great with lots of jams for toast as well as the usual offerings. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Shower had hot water. There was even a Keirog in our room. Be sure to pose with Elvis out front and check out the retro RV.

The room was very clean and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again. Glad I took a chance and stayed there over Hilton and I am a Hilton member!
The breakfast needed more options that was not about Toast - Wheat. More fruit or other options for the Wheat free people who is growing in numbers so quickly due to the health issues of Wheat.
