Rental insurance confusion
Cons: I purchased rental car insurance from kayak during rental purchase. When I got to budget they told me they did not honor that and would put a hold on my credit card for 8,000 reais! Unless I purchased THEIR insurance and then only a 500 reais hold! Incredible!

Cons: Pickup was okay because I got there with the rental company's van but the dropoff was a pain. Lack of informations and dificulties in reaching the return parking area. I had to follow the driver of another rental company to get there.

unexpensive but not american standard
Pros: fast, clean , unexpensive
Cons: stick shift with a very small engine is super for commute... but 3 ppl in a car with luggage vs a hill.... was a challenge. car got no power ar all, almost impossible to go up on inclined streets.

Cons: Hard to find my way back to return the car.
